I've read the other posts, I hear there are no good ones here. Ok, please send me the best in NY, PA or DC.
This is for my son who was recently diagnosed and I'm trying to do some legwork. He's 24.
Thank you so much.

Have you heard of Dr. B in NY (not NYC). I saw him recommended on another site.
I am printing Dr. Burr*s guide. I only glanced at it quickly online, but I noticed that he recommends Vitamin D. I've always known that Vit D is great and everyone is low in it, however, I understood that specifically when you have Lyme, you should avoid taking it. What do you know about this?

I am not familiar with Dr. B in NY. There are two good ones in upstate NY. One is Dr. H, the top LLMD, but he is not taking new patients and has a very long waiting list.
Your dear son needs to be evaluated and treated by a Lyme-literate doctor (LLMD). Non LLMDs have no clue about this horrible disease or its complex treatment!
A LLMD is one who has treated Lyme disease and the co-infections which come with it for many years and has gotten patients well. A good one will follow Dr. B's Guidelines, the "gold standard" for Lyme treatment.
Unfortunately, LLMDs are far and few between. He needs to go where they are.
Also most LLMDs do not accept insurance due to the politics surrounding this horrible disease. Read poster TF's explanation, "Why Lyme Doctors Don't Take Insurance":
Btw - I would suggest you write a new post in the "Medical Questions" section about your Vitamin D concerns. People will gladly try to answer and give you more information about the subject.

I just checked on the MD you gave me in PA, and the number is out of service. I googled and got the same number. Any ideas?

They are very knowledgeable and would know better.
It's possible she moved or something. The information I have isn't always up-to-date.
