HI. I AM LOOKING FOR A LLMD IN THE RALEIGH AREA FOR MY 6 YEAR OLD BOY.

For the past 3.5 years he has:

- lower muscles tone
-needs vision therapy

-aches from area from his ankle to top of thighs ache at night and during the day when climbing stairs or riding bike

-wakes up during the night
-Has a hard time focusing/concentrating

-headaches on and off (not constant)

Our Dr. did a labcorp test and IiG 41 came back "present. People have mentioned that he could still have Lyme.

Welcome to Lymenet! PM sent for NC & VA.

Your dear son needs to be evaluated and treated by a Lyme-literate doctor (LLMD). Non LLMDs have no clue about this horrible disease or its complex treatment!

A LLMD is one who has treated Lyme disease and the co-infections which come with it for many years and has gotten patients well. A good one will follow Dr. B's Guidelines, the "gold standard" for Lyme treatment.

Unfortunately, LLMDs are far and few between. He needs to go where they are.

Also, most LLMDs do not accept insurance due to the politics surrounding this horrible disease. Read poster TF's explanation, "Why Lyme Doctors Don't Take Insurance":

When you call for an appointment, ask if there are any cancellations or a waiting list. Patients have been able to get in sooner by doing this.
