Hi everyone! I'm new to LymeNet and to lyme in general...I went undiagnosed for eight months (possibly longer) before my Bell's Palsy finally convinced my doctor this wasn't fibromyalgia or "just stress".
Anyway, now that we know it's lyme, I just finished a month-long antibiotics course (Doxy) but I just keep getting worse. I'm looking for a doctor near Cape Cod (Massachusetts) who isn't afraid of prescribing IV antibiotics or treat chronic Lyme. I've heard that the IV meds might be the more effective treatment I need, given my unresponsiveness to the first abx.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, as I am losing all hope at being healthy and happy again. Also, it would be a huge plus if the doctor is covered under insurance. Thanks!
