We are sorting through the diagnosis process for my 9 yr old. Help finding a lyme literate dr is appreciated. We are near Wilmington, but willing to drive.

Your child needs to be evaluated and treated by a Lyme-literate doctor (LLMD). Non LLMDs have no clue about this horrible disease or its complex treatment!
A LLMD is one who has treated Lyme disease and the co-infections which come with it for many years and has gotten patients well. A good one will follow Dr. B's Guidelines, the "gold standard" for Lyme treatment.
Unfortunately, LLMDs are far and few between. You need to go where they are.
Also, most LLMDs do not accept insurance due to the politics surrounding this horrible disease. Read poster TF's explanation, "Why Lyme Doctors Don't Take Insurance":

Blue,
Sorry to hear about your child an d the diagnostic procedure, but glad to know you are on top of the situation. Good for you.
You can go to www.MarylandLyme.org and look under doctor referrals. There is information on doctors from all states- alternative and/or traditional- along with names and contact information.
Good luck Blue. I'll be thinking about you and saying a prayer for your little one's quick recovery!
