Hi, I'm looking for a llmd that is very experienced with co-infections. I've had Lyme for 10 years treated a while got better had a relapse. After the first relapse I got better and have been in remission for 3 years, now symptoms are back again. Wondering if they are coinfections. Having a lot of babs symptoms. I'm willing to travel to find someone good. Don't want to stay in MI. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

You need to be evaluated and treated by a Lyme-literate doctor (LLMD). Non LLMDs have no clue about this horrible disease or its complex treatment!
A LLMD is one who has treated Lyme disease and the co-infections which come with it for many years and has gotten patients well. A good one will follow Dr. B's Guidelines, the "gold standard" for Lyme treatment.
Unfortunately, LLMDs are far and few between. You need to go where they are.
Also most LLMDs do not accept insurance due to the politics surrounding this horrible disease. Read poster TF's explanation, "Why Lyme Doctors Don't Take Insurance":
Btw - I know you are new to Lymenet, but please break up your posts into 2-3 sentence paragraphs, as there are people on Lymenet who cannot read large blocks of text due to neurological problems from Lyme.
To do this click the pencil/paper icon, make your changes, then click "Edit Post". Thanks.

If you go to www.MarylandLyme.org and look under "Doctor Referrals" (menu to your left) you will find a site with doctor's contact information for the USA, including information on alternative doctors, labs and support groups.
