For many years I complained about symptoms, unaware that they included almost all of the symptoms of lyme. Since I always tested negative, Drs denied the diagnosis of having lyme.
I started seeing a LLMD doctor aprox 2 yrs ago, who diagnosed me with having chronic Lyme. A review of my history indicates I have had it for many, many years.
There have been several issues that are causing me to seek another LLMD doctor. I have not been able to work due to suffering from the symptoms, and DESPERATELY need to find a doctor who can help me feel better so that I can get back to work before I become homeless.
I would greatly appreciate it if anyone can give me the name(s) of a doctor(s) in Maryland who are highly RECOMMENDED for treating Lyme and the associated infections/illnesses etc.
Please do not respond with a list of ALL of the LLMD doctors in Maryland or websites about lymes, as I am aware of how to find those.
I am specifically looking for the names of LLMD doctors in Maryland that are RECOMMENDED due to their reputation for treatment of Lymes and the associated infections in ADULTS.
Thank you so much

You need to be evaluated and treated by a Lyme-literate doctor (LLMD). Non LLMDs have no clue about this horrible disease or its complex treatment!
A LLMD is one who has treated Lyme disease and the co-infections which come with it for many years and has gotten patients well. A good one will follow Dr. B's Guidelines, the "gold standard" for Lyme treatment.
Unfortunately, LLMDs are far and few between. You need to go where they are.
Also most LLMDs do not accept insurance due to the politics surrounding this horrible disease. Read poster TF's explanation, "Why Lyme Doctors Don't Take Insurance":

Since you are having problems where you currently are, it would be easy for you to see that not all patients are compatible with all doctors.
If I said I liked one, you could not like them at all. YOU need to choose who YOU think is best for you.
And I can not think of one doctor out of the hundreds I know who can get you well enough in a hurry to get you back to work. There are no guarantees at all.
Lyme, especially what you have described, can take YEARS of treating before seeing improvement. Please don't think there is an easy path toward wellness. If you do you'll only be sorely disappointed.
If you go to www.MarylandLyme.org you will see a "doctor referral" page on the menu to your left.
There you can find names and contact information on Lyme treating professionals in all states that have them, including Maryland.
However, in keeping with your request, NOT ALL Lyme treating doctors are listed there.
