Looking for a Lyme literate doctor for my kids. Our pediatrician refuses to give treatment. Also, hoping to find a doctor that takes our insurance Highmark Blue Shield PPO.
Thank you in advance.

So sorry you've got a boat full of children that need help and a doctor that won't help. UGGGG!
Might want to try printing out the one page treatment guidelines from the site above and taking them with you to a local doctor.
If they see them, and they know YOU know, they are more likely to treat. And it would be easier to find a local doctor that takes insurance than a Lyme doctor that would (few do), and/or a Lyme doctor that sees children and takes insurance.
If you need anything further....
If you go to www.VirginiaLyme.org you will see a "doctor referral" page on the menu to your left.
There you can find names and contact information on Lyme treating professionals in all states that have them.
Your children need to be evaluated and treated by a Lyme-literate doctor (LLMD). Non LLMDs have no clue about this horrible disease or its complex treatment!
A LLMD is one who has treated Lyme disease and the co-infections which come with it for many years and has gotten patients well. A good one will follow Dr. B's Guidelines, the "gold standard" for Lyme treatment.
Unfortunately, LLMDs are far and few between. Your children need to go where they are.
Also most LLMDs do not accept insurance due to the politics surrounding this horrible disease. Read poster TF's explanation, "Why Lyme Doctors Don't Take Insurance":
