We are in desperate search of finding a PCP for our 20 year old daughter. She has a LLMD but he is not a PCP and only treats Lyme. The problem is that she is ALWAYS sick with other things; throat, glands, bladder, bronchial infections, asthma etc. Her PCP has pretty much given up on treating her and tells us to go see her Lyme doctor. The Lyme doctor keeps telling us to see her PCP. We can't just switch to any doctor without knowing if they are open to Lyme Disease and has a general understanding of what it can do to the body. Also, she has a 6 year history of being very sick, often hospitalized and we are not having luck finding someone that is willing to take this complicated patient on.

Welcome to Lymenet!

So sorry your dear daughter is going through this. You should contact the MA Lyme Support Groups listed below because they would know best about MA:

Check the online state Lyme groups at:
https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/MassachusettsLyme/info

Maybe they can help.

Some more resources for you (including Support Groups info):
http://whatislyme.com/lyme-and-massachusetts/

http://www.lymenet.org/SupportGroups/UnitedStates/Massachusetts/

Btw - I know you are new to Lymenet, but please break up your posts into 2-3 sentence paragraphs, as there are people on Lymenet who cannot read large blocks of text due to neurological problems from Lyme.

To do this click the pencil/paper icon, make your changes, then click "Edit Post". Thanks.
