I have neurological lyme, and I really need to find a doctor =/ I'm positive through an igenex PCR, and I'm willing to travel 300-400 miles if necessary.

Welcome to Lymenet! PM sent for PA, MD & NY.
You need to be evaluated and treated by a Lyme-literate doctor (LLMD). Non LLMDs have no clue about this horrible disease or its complex treatment!
A LLMD is one who has treated Lyme disease and the co-infections which come with it for many years and has gotten patients well. A good one will follow Dr. B's Guidelines, the "gold standard" for Lyme treatment.
Unfortunately, LLMDs are far and few between. You need to go where they are.
Also most LLMDs do not accept insurance due to the politics surrounding this horrible disease. Read poster TF's explanation, "Why Lyme Doctors Don't Take Insurance":

I am from your area too. Have you gotten a list or heard from anyone yet? The closest one to us has an 8 month waiting list.

lymecage, I sent you the name of a good doctor and lots of other info also.
Good for you for being willing to travel to get good care! The doc is the key to getting rid of this horrendous disease. I can't emphasize that enough.
I tell everyone to get to the very best lyme doctor they can possibly afford. And, you have to be willing to travel to do that. There just aren't that many lyme specialists who know enough to cure people. I know a number of them on the east coast.

You should write a new post instead of adding on to an existing one, because most don't re-read old ones. That way, more people will see it and respond.
