Hello. I am looking for a LLMD in my area (NYC) who accepts my insurance. I've read the previous posts about how these doctors are rare and I understand it's a long shot. Still, I want to try. I am willing to travel up to 200 miles, but of course would prefer closer. As a backup, I already have a highly-recommended and qualified LLMD lined up who does not accept insurance, so at this point I am only interested in identifying in-network LLMDs.
If one of the moderators could please contact me, I can provide the website for my insurance company, which has a simple tool for identifying in-network providers. Alternately, if you could send me a full list of LLMDs, I could screen it myself. However, I understand the reasons for not sending a full list, which is why I am offering to send you the website for my insurance and allow you to do the screening.
Thank you so much! Blessings of patience, love and wellness to all those suffering from this illness!

Read the books written by the top LLMD, Dr. H titled, "Why Can't I Get Better?" and his new one, "How Can I Get Better?". They are an excellent source of information.
Also "Cure Unknown" by Pamela Weintraub. Check your local library or buy it used on Amazon.
Btw - I know you are new to Lymenet, but please break up your posts into 2-3 sentence paragraphs, as there are people on Lymenet who cannot read large blocks of text due to neurological problems from Lyme.
To do this click the pencil/paper icon, make your changes, then click "Edit Post". Thanks.
