Hi, I live in Wilmington Delaware and am looking for an llmd close to me. I'm so sick that I can hardly ride in a car very far. Am hoping someone knows of an llmd in the Philadelphia area or somewhere within 4 miles of Wilmington. Thanks
You should write "in DE" in your title so peopel will know specifically where you are looking. To do this, click the pencil/paper icon, make your changes, then click "Edit Post".
You need to be evaluated and treated by a Lyme-literate doctor (LLMD). Non LLMDs have no clue about this horrible disease or its complex treatment!
A LLMD is one who has treated Lyme disease and the co-infections which come with it for many years and has gotten patients well. A good one will follow Dr. B's Guidelines, the "gold standard" for Lyme treatment.
LLMDs are far and few between, unfortunately,so you need to go where they are. None in DE. At least half of all Lyme patients go out-of-state for proper care.
Read the books written by the top LLMD, Dr. H, titled, "Why Can't I Get Better?" and his new one, "How Can I Get Better?". They are an excellent source of information.
Also read "Cure Unknown" by Pamela Weintraub. Get it at your local library or buy it used on Amazon.
Btw - I know you are new to Lymenet, but you should not use your real name, because this is a public forum with all sorts of people on it. Read this link about it:
To remove your name from the signature line, click on "Edit Profile" under Lymenet Flash in the top middle section of the Lymenet page.
Click on "Edit Profile" on the left-hand side, scroll down to "Profile Fields" then down to "Signature". Make your changes, then click "Update Profile".
