Hi, I live in Ft.Lauderdale and have been disabled with RSD/CRPS since 1997. In 2011 I was diagnosed with Lyme. I worked with a couple of Dr.'s who really were clueless. One of which left me hanging with a Picc line and a blood clot and wouldn't answer my calls or the hospitals. I went all the way to Destin(11 hrs)for another and ended up with a chest port and he's since had his license revoked. And I am Worse then I have ever been.
Please, if anyone knows of credible LLMD's in the south Florida area I would really appreciate it.
Especially if you have first hand experience with them. Thank you so much for listening.

Hopingandpraying do you mean my personal email mailbox? Because I've cleared that and it shouldn't be a problem. Or are you talking about Lymnenet.org PM's? If that's the case I just emptied that out too. Otherwise I don't know what other mailbox it could be. But thanks for trying

Your Lymenet PM box was full, but now I was able to send it to you finally!
Hi! Welcome back to Lymenet!
I don't know of any in Ft. Lauderdale.
You need to be evaluated and treated by a Lyme-literate doctor (LLMD). Non LLMDs have no clue about this horrible disease or its complex treatment!
A LLMD is one who has treated Lyme disease and the co-infections which come with it for many years and has gotten patients well. A good one will follow Dr. B's Guidelines, the "gold standard" for Lyme treatment.
Unfortunately, LLMDs are far and few between. You need to go where they are. There was a good one in Tampa, but he retired.
Also most LLMDs do not accept insurance due to the politics surrounding this horrible disease. Read poster TF's explanation, "Why Lyme Doctors Don't Take Insurance":
Read the books written by the top LLMD, Dr. H, titled, "Why Can't I Get Better?" and his new one, "How Can I Get Better?". They are an excellent source of information.
Read "Cure Unknown" by Pamela Weintraub. Get it at your local library or buy it used on Amazon.
Btw - please break up your posts into 2-3 sentence paragraphs, as there are people on Lymenet who cannot read large blocks of text due to neurological problems from Lyme.
To do this click the pencil/paper icon, make your changes, then click "Edit Post". Thanks.
