Welcome to Lymenet mookerific
Lymenet saved my life. It is THE BEST resourced, first-hand shared information center hosted by others who are dealing/ or have dealt with this horrific disease.
The BEST advice we can give you, is you have to become your own Lyme healthcare advocate. This means it is imperative you research, research, research everything that is currently available in Lyme treatment protocols.
I have read it many, many times and yet I always find something that I missed. It was written by a Doctor who got Lyme, treated himself, and got better. He is considered the BEST Lyme educator in the world. ( IMO) A good LLMD will follow his guideline. Keep this in mind when you choose your LLMD. This is SO important.
This can be scary times, but if you NOW know you have a diagnosis, then you NOW know it's time to take the bull by the horns and kick Lyme to the curb.
We will help you all we can. Be sure to utilize Lymenet's search engine function. So much can be learned on what does and does not work. Also, every Lyme patient reacts differently, so it's good to know you are not alone during your journey. So glad you found us. We are open 24 hours a day, we never close.
Good luck on your healing journey and sending hugs.
I am sending you a private message.

Also, you can join a Lyme support group in your area to gain insight on your area's Doctors performance ratings.
You are going to feel overwhelmed. Start a journal. Write down your symptoms daily, all doctors you have seen, any blood work and tests you have had done. Write down all meds.Get a folder fior all things medical. Bring this to your 1st LLMD appointment. This can save you money. Sometimes Lyme brain renders us unable to communicate, so it helps to have everything in front of us.
Please let us know on your progress. We are routing for you friend.
