Hi all, new member here. Looking for a LLMD in Georgia, hopefully near Atlanta.
Diagnosed 3 years ago, been sick with Lyme for 10 years. Previously diagnosed with Psoriatic Arthritis. My primary symptom is SEVERE arthritis in multiple joints, I'm unable to move or even get to the bathroom.
I regularly see an integrative/functional doctor in Atlanta. They are excellent, although expensive and not covered by insurance.
Treatments: previous antibiotic treatment, IV and oral. Herbals and supplements, far and near infrared therapy, diet and fasting. Currently on cholestyramine and TON of supplements.
First round of IVs did me right, I was well for 18 months, the longest stretch of wellness I've had in over a decade. But I got sick again in October, really sick. Please let me know if there is a LLMD in my region. Thanks, wishing wellness for you all.

Welcome to Lyme et Randall
There are quite a few NEW drug treatment protocols that have been published and are showing remarkable improvements on patients. . . Even cures !!!! You can find info on them right here on Lymenet.
You can request a LLMD through Global Lyme Alliance here;
You need to be evaluated and treated by a Lyme-literate doctor (LLMD). Non LLMDs have no clue about this horrible disease or its complex treatment!
A LLMD is one who has treated Lyme disease and the co-infections which come with it for many years and has gotten patients well. A good one will follow Dr. B's Guidelines, the "gold standard" for Lyme treatment.
Unfortunately, LLMDs are far and few between so you need to go where they are.
Also, most LLMDs do not accept insurance due to the politics surrounding this horrible disease. Read poster TF's explanation, "Why Lyme Doctors Don't Take Insurance":
Read the books written by the top LLMD, Dr. H, titled, "Why Can't I Get Better?" and "How Can I Get Better?". They are an excellent source of information.
Also read "Cure Unknown" by Pamela Weintraub. View "Under Our Skin" and "Under Our Skin 2: Emergence" DVDs. Check your local library or buy them used online.
Btw - I know you are new to Lymenet, but you should not use your real name, because this is a public forum with all sorts of people on it. Read this link about it:
