If this is Dr S. then he's not ILADS trained and he's very uneducated as far as lyme goes. He give people single low dose antibiotics for years on end with them never recovering and developing resistance to the antibiotics. I've never heard of any of his patients being cured and they all eventually have to leave him to find a real llmd that understands how lyme is treated. And that's if they ever realize reality from what this doctor is doing.
So if you want to spend a lot of time and money to get instructions to take a probiotic and biaxin (nothing else... just these two) for two years until he changes the biaxin to another oral antibiotic, then see this guy. He won't use IV's he won't follow ILADS guidelines and a single spirochete won't die.

Pryorka, ouch I'm on a single antibiotic (Biaxin) and a probiotic as we speak. Well, I can take Plaquenil too so I guess it's not single. To me, I consider this mono-therapy as Plaq just helps Biaxin work more effectively.
My doc is said to be a world-class LLMD. I hope I win the battle long-term and not have years to recover/beat Lyme/cos.
My LLMD does switch up drugs though month to month. Getting hardcore combination therapy isn't easy and high doses though is tough. I'm hoping to see more improvement sometime. I'm starting to feel bad as I've treated now nearly a year with two LLMDs and still feel crappy many days with no exercise tolerance whatsoever.
I feel like low and slow isn't winning this war. High and fast may kill me though. Tough to guess what an outcome will be. When I hear you don't kill a single spirokete on low doses, that greatly concerns me though.
I would NEVER stay with a doc like the one mentioned if the same drug was used endlessly. It sounds like a doc just wanting to make $$$ on patients forever and staying under the radar. Not good if true.

I was exaggerating about not killing a single spirochete. But the MIC to kill lyme is much higher than that of other organisms. That's why the ilads guidelines always mention higher than normal doses for treatment to be effective.
I remember who your doctor is seekhelp, it's so strange that he won't put you on IV or something, other patients of his I know of he's treating much more aggressively. He could have his reasons based on your bloodwork or something though.

Well, back to my question. Anyone have experience with Dr. S. in PA? Seems he's into a lot of things including Lyme.

Do you mean Dr. S in FL-- author of many Lyme books? The internet lists him as being in PA also, but he has been exclusively in FL for some time, though he may still be licensed in PA...
