Hi All: My 16 yr old dgtr. is competing in a pageant and she is using Lyme Disease as her platform because I have had the disease for over 15 years and it has affected our family in many ways.
She would like to come up with a catchy phrase to use as her platform title but we haven't thought of anything yet except.. Ticked off about Lyme....
She wants to base the platform on prevention and awareness b/c she as am I are tired of people not knowing what LD is and how people get it.
Any creative minds out there please help us out.

"If people can make lemonade out of lemons, then we can make awareness by learning about LYME"
"Don't think arthritis and fatigue when you think of Lyme, think about sufferance and disability"
"Lyme is the next Tsunami"
Okay, these kind of stink but I just woke up from a nap.
Goto youtube and watch "Under Our Skin" trailer and I bet there are some excellent catch phrases in there.

You can tell her that Clarissa said she's an awesome writer! She added some funny/witty/catchy things to my post in Medical, "Top 10 Reasons Why Lymies Should Date Each Other"

Just a personal request to avoid the term "lymie"
I know that, to many, it is endearing, but I don't feel it that way.
I sort of hear it as an insult and a rhythm that can be turned in a negative phrase such as "Blymie, Lymie"
so - I know I'm in the minority on this, but just wanted to voice that.
I would like to a positive - yet powerful - phrase that would bring respect and honor to this set of pioneers as we push onward against tremendous forces. Something that both looks good in print and sounds good to the ears.
Thanks for asking our input. I hope your daughter enjoys the process of the pageant. She is a strong young woman to be taking a stand. I was not nearly as aware and engaged when I was her age - other than tuning into Peter, Paul and Mary.
It would be great to find just the right song that would say it all.
