Hi Everyone!!! Well, this past Saturday we had a tornado in the a.m. Destroyed homes and businesses in the Salem/Auburn/Opelika Alabama area. Touched down on my street completely destroying a church and leaving a middle school without a roof. And that's just on my street!!! Thank God no one losted their life but I heard a man that was horseback riding was injured. I'm not sure about the horse, it wasn't mentioned. Sometime early, early Sunday morning it started to snow. Then throughout that day it snowed relentlessly. We were without power for almost 2 days. Stayed at a hotel until yesterday and am home safe and sound. I've been in alot of difficult weather situations but never one like this! Hshbmom is in this area too and will give her a call and see if she's ok too. Anyways wanted to let you all know that we're ok. -------------------- Do not take this as medical advice. This comment is based on opinion and personal experience only. Alaska Lone Wolf

Glad to hear you're okay. Boy, when it rains it pours. Or when it snows it pours. Or some kind of weather related wise saying.

Goodness, we heard it snowed up in your area, but a tornado too! That's just too much for a southern girl. So glad that it missed your house, and that you are well and back safe and sound at home. -------------------- Wishing You Showers Of Blessings! Yikes Joann sounds like you had everything possible going except maybe an earthquake and a volcano. Glad you're OK though. Charlie

Hey there, yes, we're OK too. There was a tornado reported just down the road, in addition to the one(s?) that hit your area. We drove over to see the damage Monday morning. It is terrible. The weather has been so freaky, 70 degrees and tornadoes on Saturday, then in the low 30's with 6 inches of snow on Sunday. This has been the coldest winter in Alabama since I've been here...almost 30 years. It was 48 degrees yesterday, 58 today, 68 tomorrow, and will be 74 Saturday. Wow, what a change! Two children have had the flu. No fun!

Hey ho little wolf... Fire, tornado and blizzard! Oh MY! Me tinks you are a disaster looking for a place to happen! At the very least.... you are a survivor!! Hope things settle down for the next 20 years or so. You've had your share enough for a lifetime! Be careful out there! --------------------www.TreatTheBite.com www.DrJonesKids.org www.MarylandLyme.org www.LymeDoc.org

Thanks for the well wishes. Whew....you all are right....I'm wore out from all the excitement the past couple of weeks. First the fire, then tornado and snow storm. Whew....... Charlie-Not worried about a volcano but you shouldn't have mentioned EARTHQUAKE. I'm close to a fault line. No kidding. Nancy-So glad to see you're ok. So you came by the school? The church on the corner of 280 and 254 is no longer there. Rest of Salem really bad too. Hope the kids get better soon. There sure is a wicked flu bug going around down here. Hey Shelley, Clanton's not to far from me!!! TC-What can I say? It's only March. I'm really worried now!!! Thanks you guys for being there for me again!!! -------------------- Do not take this as medical advice. This comment is based on opinion and personal experience only. Alaska Lone Wolf
