I have been calling my docs office for 2 days trying to get my igenex results faxed. after doinng everything they requested, signing forms, sending them back, they still havent sent them!!! What happened to good customer service? I am sick of asking for things and being treated like I am speaking a different language.
I am a paying customer and I Want what I want. I am not rude to them in fact i am very pleasant.
Well i am tired of it. Afterall we are sick and tired and dont need the BS.
does this happen to you?

Happens all the time and in just about every business.
As far as my LLMD goes, I give them more lattitude because they are buried with requests. Lyme patients are a needy bunch. LOL
I pretty much pick my battles. If there is something that is critical to my health, I expect prompt service. Otherwise, I can wait.
Same with waiting for an appointment. If I get the time I need with my LLMD, then I am fine with sitting in the waiting room for awhile because I figure they are giving whoever came before me the time they need. My LLMD has always been very generous in many respects. His staff also.
It might be different at your LLMD's office and maybe you've already done this but I find I often get a better response time if I fax the request to them.
I hope you get a response soon melissa.

(In NY they have like 30 days or something, I'm not sure how long, from the date the request is made in writing by the patient. Try getting someone to make a simple copy or send a fax within a week- forget it!)

I have had this all the way through from my drs office, the hospital, my short term disability company, my own employer, the cobra people.....every single department I have had to deal with has made mistakes and some big ones at that and I havent had anyone try to fix the issue or be concerned...its been oh it need to be corrected, or we will deal with it.....in the meantime it has been my family and I that have suffered through one mistake after another and nobody gives a toss because it doesnt affect them for more than the few minutes they have me on the phone.......so frustrating....I feel your pain......

Florence, I too have had many experiences like yours. It can be soooo frustrating. I've learned to keep a record of dates, times, conversations and who I talked to.
I keep the record in the contacts file of outlook along with the contact info for the company. If things don't happen the way they should, I ask for the supervisor and recite all the details. Sometimes that will get me somewhere, sometimes not.
My husband and I have often wondered what the heck is going on that there is so much incompetence in the health care industry. Well, let's face it, it's not just the healcare industry.
The health insurance industry seems to display high levels of incompetence on purpose. I recently had to fax paperwork to them 3X's AFTER my doctor had already faxed it to them 3X's.
Their excuse is that they never got it. I told them that luckily I now have the paperwork they need and I can fax it to them 100's of times if they need it. LOL Never had to fax it to them again. I think they figure it they make it hard enough for us we'll give up and it will save them money.

Good points above. Always ask who you are talking to + write that down.
Ask for supervisor + if not happy ask for their boss which may be the doc.
On the faxes, call them when you send them to see who received them. Write it down. Later if they say they didn't get them tell 'em you talked to.....who confirmed they did get them.
These are recent lessons I have learned with help from sis (big dog at very big insurance company + her hubby, head of security at a college.
I really can't believe that these people are allowed to interact with the public. What many of them need is

it seems it is happening everywhere lately.
we just got a notice from the state license department that the vin number on our vehicle couldn't be located.
the insurance company transposed and dropped some numbers so it was incorrect.
we have this problem several years ago and now it's cropped up again. we told them about it but apparently it didn't get fixed.
geez, if i'd have done stuff like this, i'd have been fired.
like when i went to barnes & noble and was looking for a certain romance author. the girl very loudly said "oh she's in the erotic and porn section"....
i could have died of embarassment. how was i supposed to know that? plus it was a recommended read by a friend..
i swear i could have slapped that girl. everybody looking at me like i was a freak or something.
well i'll never be back in that store, that's fer sure.

Of all the things I was not in the mood for doing but handled nicely all the same..
Waiting on test results was probably my biggest stressor. UGGGGG!
And now the weekend is here and you have longer to wait!
Monday they will be too busy... always after a weekend this happens... so who knows WHEN you'll get them.
I am sorry you are having to go through this.
In the future... here is a tip.
Next time tests are ordered, have them add another doctor on the form to notify with results and give them the fax number for that doctor. I use my chiropractor, dentist, whoever is handy dandy.
That way when they come in, they can call me or I can go by and get them.
