As I was watching this, I thought that one thing positive about lyme disease is that we do become more aware of what we are putting in our bodies.
I shop the edges of a grocery store now.
Still need to get more fresh fruits and vegies in my daily intake.
The part of the talk where he at a school asking the kids to identify the fruit or vegie he is holding up put things in perspective for me.

- I thought I saw an add for a new TV show that will focus on teaching young folks to eat and cook REAL food that actually grows in the earth. Introducing them to all of that, etc.
I just caught a brief glimpse of the promo but it looked fun - and important.
Ohhh . . . I had not gone to the video clip but then I just saw his name in the URL - it's Jamie Oliver's show that I was talking about. -

kam, WOW!
Thank you for this link. I love TED talks, and had no idea that Jamie Oliver had done one.
I am so happy to have watched this.
Wish the whole world could watch it, too.

This was a very rude awaking. I can every Spring and summer.
My boys love to help shell the butter beans, snap the green beans, etc.
But I can't get them to eat any vegies. They both love to cook
but won't eat half of what they prepared. It is a
crying shame. When I cook for myself, I have to cook the rest of the family something different
Because mine is to healthy. Picky-picky! They are so skinny. I give them vitamines to help make up for them not eating properly.
Thanks Kam, very good post.

- First, Kam - thanks for the reminder about TED.
Great Video with Jamie. Thanks.
We can mark our calendars - and have everyone we know mark theirs, too. This could be a real family and community building experience. Seriously, we can be part of this just by telling everyone we know - making sure they take the date seriously - sending the video link is good but a scheduled event also helps with momentum. And it can be fun.
