I confess I am poorly motivated and brain cramped to come up with an encouraging opening to this week's post.
So for those who are doing better than I am please let us know of your accomplishments. Please bring a word of encouragement to those of us who are struggling with daily chores never mind actually exercising the body.
You would think it would be discouraging to read of how well and how much others are doing. But it is just the opposite for me.
Thanks in advance, Karen

Same here Karen. It gives me hope to when I read what others are able to do...
I don't know about you but once I get through that tough time with new meds or just plain being to low functioning to think straight.....I do experience some good days or moments at a higher level than before.
So, hope whatever is holding you back will break soon. It sure doesn't seem to take much to tip the boat.

I thought doing chores was exercise, I have to go up and down the stairs all the time.
Washing machine is upstairs. Today I have cleaned
house, didn't want to...but did. Worked in the yard a little. So pretty today.
I think I will try and rest my body after while.
My partner always gets onto me because I don't have a stopping point.
Then I hurt all evening with the burning head.

MDW, yes doing chores count. You did a lot!
I did 5 loads of laundry. So that is at least up and down the stairs that many times. I also washed up the pots and pans. And cooked dinner. My energy was a little better.
I am going to be starting adrenal support. My doc thinks that my adrenals are shot. I am really hoping that this will make a difference.
My husband and I were supposed to fly out Friday for Arizona. We canceled because I can't seem to get out of the recliner for very long. We have decided that any trips will have to be last minute ones since my health is not very reliable. I am incredibly disappointed.
Where is every one?!

I am lying here in bed. Going to get up and take a couple of excedrin to clear my head and mask the pain in my body.
Hoping to be able to go to water therapy this am and give the water shoes a try.
I also have a new swim suit to give a try. But, know it will be fine as it is made from the same fabric my old swim suit is made of.
had the old suit since the 70's.
Glad you were able to do so much yesterday Karen.
You too MD.
Sorry you are not heading this way yet Karen. I'll talk to John Travolta and see if he can't fly you out during one of your good cycles in his private jet.

Hi Kam,
Your yoytube made me smile. I have to give that lady some credit, I would have fallen on my nose if I attempted that.
I did a little ironing this am... I have been getting the look...you know, the puppie eyes and the downed lip. I haven't ironed in 2 weeks.
It's supposed to rain the rest of the week, so I thought I would try and take a walk this afternoon. Let you know later how I did.
Sorry Kgg about your trip. Kam let us know how swimming went.

Tried to remember some of the moves from the above video when I got to the therapy pool...but could not.
Good session today. had some fun too.
Learned I need to put on the water shoes after I get in the pool.
it was therapy just trying to get them on this am..
..then stepped into the pool...
there is a stainless steel shelf all around the pool. Good place to sit and rest.
I used it to step on to get in the pool this morning and with the water shoes I slid like I was stepping on ice...
Thankful for the handicap bar..had my butt down and my feet up in the air
Then tried to walk in them and had trouble keeping my feet under me
Good for laughs this morning.
Finally got it figured out and did my leg work and arm work.
Then tried to do the lap work with them on...learned that doesn't work.
Est 15 min in pool this time.
had to talk myself through rinsing the swim suit out and getting dressed.
Also had trouble figuring out which apartment door was mine. I had come in from the side of the building instead of the front as it was raining.
Recover time now.
But, that was the most fun I have had in a long time.
I think some of my moves were worthy of those funniest home video's moves.

kam.. so glad you had a fun well needed morning.
Did you burn the 70's bathing suit?
Today I went to a different trail that is easier on the knees. I did not like the trail as much
because the concrete hurts my back and feet...think I will stay with the other trail in the woods that only hurt the knees.
I took it slow and steady today 1 mile.

i've been getting in 2 short walks a day. last week i did 50 min one day and my hips were i real bad pain for 48 hrs its not worth it cuz i'm paying forPT for th hips...
so anyway...the closing was postponed for (i think) the 4th time today. (i've lost track)
i'm thinking this isn't gonna happen. none of it has been my fault. mostly it has been the underwriters making mistakes. but then the seller had her baby and today she was medivacced to boston hosp with a complication. very sad for them. but this is really dragging out.
i don't even want to think about starting again...i started looking n november...theres tons of houses...i can' believe i havent closed yet.
anyway...seems like spring is here.
when i read about ppl going up and down stairs a bunch of times to do laundry itis hard to believe. i started limiting stairs 20 yrs ago. even with my new knees it is not something i like to do i fractured my pelvis falling in the basement doing laundry and then my sweetie moved the washer nd dryrto the kitchen. sooooo much easier,

Yesterday I spent a good portion taking my son to an appointment. When I got back I cleaned up the kitchen in preparation for it to be torn apart. So I had to wash pots and pans and then clear the counters. Lots of coffee yesterday.
Aklnwlf, sorry to hear about Rocky and the bill. My vet is incredibly expensive. I keep thinking I am going to find another one, but have not taken the time to do so.
Good job Lymetoo and Diane doing your mile walks!
Kayak, sorry to hear about the delay in the house. That gets frustrating when you are ready to have the whole thing over with and they keep postponing. Hang in there!

Did the 10 min loop in the forest this evening. 5 min, rest on a log, 5 min out.
Vision is really lousy lately..not sure what is going on....fatigue of the eyes and head pressure.
The walk in the forest is all I have done today...but thankful I was able to do that..wasn't sure until I got there and gave it a try.
Walked like a drunken sailor with a hang over...guessing...I have so many different walks with this condition.

Kayak....did a google search on crocusses and tried several times to post a pic but the brain is just not working well enough.
Glad you saw some on your walk yesterday. Cool.
Wondering what is going on with the closing of escrow. That must be so stressful.
It would be nice to know one way or the other.
When I was out yesterday, the guy who is camped out in that area showed me 2 arrowheads he had found.
That was a treat.
Melissa...glad you had your pool time...concerned that you are doing an hour...hope you are not wiped out today
Diane....it is confusing...just checked weather report on google and we should have sunny skies now...but did not check temperatures
Pam...I know other person who goes to a group water therapy class and really enjoys it too
How did your class go?
Karen...I bet you are wiped out from yesterday
Lymetoo...a mile on Monday...for some reason thinking of you walking a mile puts a smile on my face...plus the exercises
AKW...how is Rocky doing? Looking forward to hearing about him having water time.
OK..that is enough catching up for now. Glad my vision and processing were working well enough to catch up this am.
head pressure and focusing visually finally broke late last night.

Good morning,
lpkayak, the closing will happen... just when you don't think it will... it will. The few pounds you have gained will come off as soon as you stop stressing.
I wake up to rain ... again. I might go to the mall today and take a walk there.

well-i have been able to get my walks in thru all this. and today the PT gave me homework exercises. it will be hard to do some of them before i move or at least move some stuff out of this apt. i've been packed up for 2 weeks now and its scrunchy in here.
they said the closing won't happen tomorrow and if it doesn't happen by monday at 5 i can get out of the deal. i am beginning to think maybe i'm not supposd to buy this house. i spent some time today and found 10 other possible houses -7 of them were a lot cheaper but just as good if not bettter.
so my plan is to hope it happens monday but if it doesn't the landlord said i could put some of the packed up stuff in the basement to make it more livable in here and then i just have to get back on my normal eating and exercise schedule and start looking again.
GOOD NEWS!!! the little horse i was ridng last fall until it got icey is available so i plan to start riding her again april first. PT says my SI joint will be ok then. so-even if the house gets stalled i'll be ok if i 'm riding
i guess spring is coming everywhere

well, I am officially a lyme brain today.
I thought my aquatherapy was at 1pm but really was at 11 am. duh. what is my problem. now I have to wait a week to get in the pool.
I am feeling pretty bad so I am not tooo disapointed, except that I only gave them 5 minute notice. that is rude. I was calling to make an appointment for next week and they said that they only have 11am appointments on friday I said oops I think I am supposed to be there right now. shoot.
but I did manage to walk to the bus stop about 10 minutes total. I am supposed to go out with friends tonight so I am trying to rest up. It is going to be hard to go. My favorite rock band is going to be there, but it is loud and it is a resaraunt and bar. I am making myself go.I hope i am not too sore.
Hope everyone has a better day, melissa

Great to read all the posts this week.
It's been raining alot here this week so me and Rocky have just been strolling around the property.
Rocky's abcess must be getting better because the constant licking of his hindquarters has decreased.
I'm gonna have to sew him a new cover for his doggie mattress. He kinda of ruined the old one.
Hopefully we can do something this weekend, then I'll check back in.
See you all later!

Kudos, on getting the horse you like Kayak! I am sorry about the stress of the house buying. Not sure of all of the details but if you are uncertain, I would postpone until you speak with an attorney.
Yesterday, I went to the big city all by myself. It was wonderful! I went to the stores I wanted to and did not have to plead to do so! So lots of walking and lots of caffeine to be able to do it.
Today, I was napping at 10:30 in the morning! Very unusual. So I guess I over did it.
Have a good Saturday every one.

Kgg...glad you were able to get out and about. Sounds like fun.
I will be back to read the other posts when I am doing better.
but, I was able to move about a bit today for two very short periods.
Able to put top rung of dishwasher again....the dishes that is.
And able to do something else in the kitchen that I can't recall now.
Hoping to be able to move about a bit more today...but we shall see...the multi movement and multi tasking to put the glasses away for that short period of time did not go well.
Started out OK but went down hill fast.
Back to testing out the couch, recliner and bed.

Yep-- gotta change the clocks so you can get to church on time!!!
We used to have this pastor who messed up the time two years in a row. He was about 25 yrs younger than most in the congregation so age wasn't the defining factor in remembering, I guess!! It was kinda funny.
He showed up at church for the early service 5 min before church was to begin....he thought he was there an hour early as usual. We were all glad he was finally there though! lol
Kgg... sounds like a great shopping trip!!
AK.. glad Rocky is better.
kam... hope you're doing better tomorrow!
merry... have fun at the "concert"
kayak.. yep, a lawyer would be a good idea.
MD.. have a great time at the crawfish boil!!

When that part of the brain is working, I will be back to read what others wrote.
Sun am: able to take Rosie to the dog park this am. Had the park to ourselves. Short visit.
But, this means I was able to walk from power chair at front door of building to car 2 parking places over and walk into dog park and pick up poop.
Unstable and weak on my feet but at least I was able to do it. Most likely will use power chair for noon outing but I usually do that anyway.
Hoping to improve enough to walk 5 min on the trail tonight, rest and then walk out. We shall see.
