I like it hens. Have to be plums on Plum Island.

I'd also plant bumbs on Plum Island...the most violent offenders. Like Alcatraz. Escape from Plum Island.....nah, not real humane and it doesn't sound as good.

I don't know.....

How will we dispose of the hazardous waste? How do we kill the millions of germs abiding in the soil? How to keep the ticks from riding piggie back on unsuspecting deers backs?

Would it be burned?

I'd build a retirement home on Plum Island for the IDSA members and their loyal supporters.

And I'd build a big building where they can all go each day to make their own tubes of sun block (spf 6,000) and manufacture lots of ice cube trays.

Where they are going to end up, they will need that stuff! I hear it's hot down there.

PLUM ISLAND.....an experimental haven for IDSA!

Plum Island is now available for all past and present IDSA members and their families to prove that they are indeed right about everything concerning Lyme Disease.

Guidelines will be set that will allow you and your family an opportunity of a lifetime, to prove your theory that there is no such thing as chronic lyme disease. What a wonderful opportunity to do something for your fellow man for once in your life!

The guidelines are as follows:
1.)Members and their families will be infected with LD.
2.)They will go 1 year untreated.
3.)After one year you will be administered 2 to 4 weeks of antibiotics. During these few weeks you will have the opportunity to prove that LD is easy to cure, as you say.
5.)There will be no more treatment offered after 4 weeks.

As a scientist this is a dream come true. As we know many scientist like to experiement on themselves to prove their points of view concerning disease. I am sure that most of you will jump at this opportunity to prove your point; afterall LD is easy to cure as you all say; We look forward to the results of this experiment and appreciate your time.

If there should be any unfortunate mishaps such as persistant symptoms post treatment, you will be rewarded with free antidepressants for life. This only applies to those that believe they still have Lyme Disease even after the standard 2 to 4 week treatment.

Dear Dr. ----,

In appreciation of your research and dedication to the treatment of those who are afflicted with and suffered from Lyme Disease and various co-infections, we are extending an exclusive offer to you and your extended family.

We have purchased the beautiful Plum Island. This lovely oasis sits between Long Island, NY and beautiful coastal CT. In addition to spectacular beaches and deep-sea fishing, this island is just minutes away via yacht from the Hamptons and the wineries of Long Island, the beautiful newly-renovated casinos of CT and the historic town of Mystic CT.

This is truly a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. You will be tickled pink once you realize just how lucky you are to have been invited to participate in our exclusive offer.

Phase 1 of the project is already underway. Out of the 207 beachfront lots, 146 have already been purchased. In addition to the gorgeous water views, each and every lot is wooded so that the inherent beauty of the island can be experienced and appreciated firsthand by you and your family.

Imagine sitting on your deck watching the sun set over the water while at the same time seeing wildlife on your property! Your children and grandchildren will never forget their interactions with the beautiful deer and other wildlife!

In addition to our beachfront homes, we are just beginning Phase 1 of our Townhouses! The majority of our townhomes will have waterviews as well but are more affordable than the beachfront homes.

We encourage you to come to the island so you can choose the beachfront home or townhome that best suits your family's needs.

Our beachfront homes have anywhere between 5 and 7 bedrooms. Every bedroom is ensuite. There is a half bathroom on the main level adjacent to the kitchen as well as a half bathroom adjacent to the pool.

Our townhomes are a bit smaller. Each townhome consists of 4 bedrooms ensuite along with a half bath off the kitchen. The pool is shared with another townhome and there is a common half bath adjacent to the pool deck.

Our beachfront homes and townhomes have been built with quality in mind. Limestone is one of the materials we have used extensively due to its strength.

We strive to maintain a connection to nature and therefore have opted to paint our homes in shades of blue and green. Our decorators' favorite colors are "True Blue" and "Lime Green"

The only major complaint we have received so far is the tick-tocking of the clocks in the kitchens. Rest assured, we are working to solve that problem.

We truly hope that you and your families take advantage of this opportunity. You deserve it in more ways than one.

For more information please call 1-800-In-Denial or 1-800-ignorant. Or you can just visit one of two our website: www.clueless.com or dontwanttorocktheboat.com.

We look forward to meeting you!

Sincerely,

Cynthia Deanna Carlo
Isador Duncan Sidney Albert

17hens funny you should ask. Tickerson is my family name. I initially considered majoring in creative writing but found that majoring in "understanding mega-BS" was far more interesting yet exceedingly more difficult.

Our company will give you special consideration because of the interest you expressed regarding this wonderful real estate opportunity.

We are in a unique financial situation that enables us to not only waive your beach club, pool club, yacht club fees for the first two years as well as your closing costs but because you, 17hens, were among the first to express interest in our fine Plum Island resort properties we can actually reduce your purchase price of our luxury beachhomes and townhomes by 20%!

All you need to do is simply sign an affidavit stating that you know factually Lyme Disease is hard to get and easily cured.

You might be wondering how in our faltering economy we are able to offer you this deal of a lifetime. Let's just say that there are many ignorant people out there who have stupidly invested their hard-earned money to pay for clueless ILADS doctors, useless tests, and medications and supplements that have not been IDSA-approved.

17hens, on behalf of our company I very much look forward to your visit. I hope you are able to find the time to tour our wonderful resort and I remind you of the fabulous opportunity you have been given.

Please contact me at your earliest convenience. My personal phone number is 1-got-lyme, ext. just-dont-know-it-yet.

Per company policy I must request that you wear an item of clothing by which we can recognize you as you disembark the yacht. We recommend a bandana sold by Lime Bros. Inc. The bandanas are cheap, relatively speaking. We've been told that the cost of our beautiful 100% cotton custom-made bandanas ($700) is actually close to the cost of a first appointment incurred by people who see so-called "lyme-literate" doctors.

We pity these people who believe they have "Chronic Lyme Disease." We know that their perceived problems are actually due to "Post-Lyme-Syndrome". Thankfully due to our funding we have counseling services available 24-7 for these ignorant people. Unfortunately we are unable to accommodate these hypochondriacs in our beachfront homes and townhomes.

I am happy to report that that we still have plenty of incentives to offer for our beachfront homes! But we only have a few left so I urge you to act quickly!

Janet, please come on over and take a tour of our nature-filled oasis. We here at lymedenialcentral (our parent organization) look forward to meeting with you. Please call the phone number listed above to make an appointment with our wonderful staff. There are times when they are too ill to come to work. Seems like they've been adversely affected by all the hype about Lyme Disease.

We apologize in advance if some of our staff members are too ill to meet with you. Know that we continually provide counseling to our staff. And rest assured that we will do everything we can to take you on a tour of our splendid facilities regardless. We look forward to meeting you.

WOW...I am having waaaay too much fun with this.

On the other hand its kinda sad that we all can see the reality and humor and irony in selling Plum Island. It'll be interesting to see who actually buys it and what will happen. But hey if it does turn out to be a resort I called it NO CALLBACKS!

AlanaSusanne - Isn't that the place where they're thinking of naming the post office PostLyme? I hear a ticketing agency there, NoTixHere, went out of business. Know anything else about any of the businesses there?

Robin funny you should mention that. You are in the know! The name of our resort's post office is indeed postlyme.

And yes, unfortunately our premiere ticketing agency, notixhere did go out of business.

Apparently the locals found out that there were ticks here. Rumor has it that the firm "we ain't totally in denial" is in the process of purchasing the ticketing agency. I will keep you posted.

In the meantime, have you considered visiting our properties? Tick-tock, time is running out for you to get in on our exclusive offers!

I would be tempted to also put on it Wormser can kiss my a**!, but I don't think that would help our cause.
