Can anyone recommend an insecticide that I can use on my yard that will either repel or kill deer ticks? We have a lot of deer and I get bitten by deer ticks a lot. [Frown] Miles

miles ~ if you click on the search button above and type in tick repellent a great article will come up that lpkayak posted 03-14-11 on deet vs permethrin as a tick repellent.

Bottom line...permethrin is superior to repell ticks. (do not use on cats or near fish ponds).

I just ordered permethrin from Amazon to spray the perimeter where woods meet lawn. (I want to continue to carefully burn the leaves 1st). Since I do have a cat, I got liquid Sevin to spray around porch & lawn....

Some are opposed to pesticides....I am/was too....but I'm more opposed to ugly ticks!
