- Paul,
Thanks so much for posting that. I admire him for speaking out even though he says his nervous system and adrenal systems are just fried.
Funny how the interviewers at the end kept saying, why not live in the city. Guess they don't quite understand that birds and mammals also live there. -

I'm not saying you cant go into remission or even be cured.
Anything someone says to make it sound more terrible than the public thinks it is in my book is a good thing.
I just think its good for the public to hear this kind of stuff...

- I don't think he made it sound more terrible at all. In a few minutes, no one can go into detail. He's correct, there is no known cure, yet.
To speak to the rubber band scale of variables and remissions (and what it takes to get there) would take a lot longer and "entertainment interviewers" have a very short attention span when it comes to the nitty gritty.
The real journalists also just don't seem interested in the hard work to really research this topic.
But, even when we have some snapshots of those affected by this, it always helps to enlighten. -

Yes, I do agree. Any exposure gets the word out.

Sometimes it's better to have short interviews like this. The public can have a short attention span and quick, general info like this might sink in where a long medical explanation won't.

I heard this (I'm a huge Stern Fan) earlier this week.
Very cool.
FYI Darryl Hall has done a lot of interviews about this in the past. He used to see Dr. B but now goes to Dr. H I believe.
He is "one of us" and "gets it".
He didn't really get into it too much on Stern as that wasn't the primary focus of his visit.
