I wish I could say something that would help other than I am so sorry you are going thru this.

Hopefully someone from your area will chime in with a possible method of help, depending on what your needs are.

I am tertiarilly dealing with the same thing - I want to help, but she will not let me. All I can say is get your health back, and the financials can then come back - I have been financially ruined twice, and you can come back from that - it seems bad, but I remember being broke in college and how much fun I had then. You need your health first - take care of it and all the rest is easy.

Are you still on IV meds? Have you checked around to find less expensive source?

I don't know the details of your situation, but if you are in need of cheaper treatment, one option is taking Buhner herbs, which are a cheaper way to go.

You can look at Stephen Buhner's book, Healing Lyme, also the website www.buhnerhealinglyme, and the yahoo group is Lyme_Aid_Buhner. Some people cannot do antibiotics and so they're treating with herbs.

My family is stretched in the financial dept. but we know others who are in worse shape than us.

I don't have an answer, but you are not alone. I wish I would win the lottery. I would set up a lyme foundation to help people at least with testing.

I have more than one family in my city who can't get any treatment for themselves or their children.

That is the worst possible place to be, watching your sick children try to make it from day to day with no hope of getting them better.

This situation just stinks!!

i also dont know your situation

robin is right tho about buhner herbs...you can do that alone...start low and work up

also it is true you need to do health first aand then the rest will fall inot place...

also...i wasnt eligible but my brother was able to get a number of different kinds of help on his way to gettin permanent disability...so was another friend on here

they were one step from homelessness and needed help to get disability but then they came back...

maybe if you tell us more specifics of what is going on we can help more

hi thanks all.....i finshed my IV in august so its not even really the meds its the huge financial loss of my salary, i got sick in 2009 and eventually lost my job in 2010, that and all the IV costs was like a small pebble rolling down hill catching dust fom all sides getting bigger and bigger, now i have no where to go, equity line is maxed out and cant make the payments, credit cards are maxed, bills are all late. I owe family back for loans for the IV I owe my parents thousands if not hundreds of thousands for all the help they have given us over the years. My husband is working 80=90hr weeks but the debt is getting bigger and bigger and I honestly dont see how we can get out right now......I know many of us are in the same boat but I am desperate right now.....dont know what to do.......I feel anxiety so much so I have been vomiting (which is not usual for me), depressed......I hate it....

i had to go thru bankrupsy because of medical bills and divorce. its not the end of the world. i thought i was a bad person...but i was not...the system is messed up when this can happen to ppl cuz they get sick.

it is isnt as bad as you might imagine. it doesnt take that long to get back on your feet.

this is what the bankrupsy laws were made for in the first place. to help good ppl who have problems no matter how hard they try.

i bought a house and car 2 yrs after ... i now live simply but with in my budget (mostly...two kids getting married in two yrs upset my finances some...but i will recover from that now that things are quieting down)

good luck. you can figure this out. but you might need good financial counseling to do it---that should be free.

lpkaya knows - don't be scared of bankruptcy, they tell you it's going to ruin you, but I have been to the bottom twice, back both times - you need your health more than money - you can have all the money in the world, and with no health you have nothing - and some of the best times in my life were when I was broke - money is not a key to happiness - health is.

I am about to finish bankruptcy. Don't be afraid of it.

Also, if you haven't already, apply for social security disability.

A good place to start with info on how to win your case is the website "Disability Secrets".

Don't give up. Those that you owe money to will have to be patient.
