This freaking ridiculous, allergic to meat? I thought I had it bad being allergic to gluten and dairy. I don't breakout like they suggest or get stomach pains, but get severe headaches and head pressure from eating gluten and dairy. I swear it hits me instantly after I eat any of those products.
It's funny they say it's something in the saliva that's causing it, not the co-infections or Lyme which isn't mentioned in the article. But there are videos on the left column about the diseases.
It's just crazy that someone can become allergic to meat. I swear I learn something new about this disease every week. This stuff is so sinister!!!

i'm gonna go eat some ice now.
lol felt the same way and lost about 40 pounds when I went on a carbless diet.
But then just found out that certain carb foods give me reactions and gained some weight back.
Even certain gluten-free and dairy free foods give me severe headaches.
Sinister is honestly the best word to describe this disease. Because when you first encounter it you don't know what the hell you have.

At a birthday party yesterday I revealed to someone my food allergies. Told her milk, eggs, wheat, nuts, shellfish.... she said OMG, why live?
That about sums it up. I did chuckle and it was funny but what she said pretty much hit the nail on the head and that's how I feel sometimes.

That's the guy that nailed me and I eat meat for breakfast! I never heard this story on food allergies caused by our lone star guy, in fact I know two others bit by lone star and none of us have food allergies, just saying!

I've come accross a few articles about people developing meat allergies after a tick bite. Some of them delayed anaphylactic reactions. It does happen. Not to everyone but it definitely does happen to some.
