I really could use something sweet. Anyone have recipes for something like cake or brownies where you could use stevia as a sweetener?

I use stevia with plain greek yogurt, some coconut milk, cinnamon, and blueberries. Stir it all up and eat it. It does help the sweet cravings.

Protein, fat, magnesium and taurine are the best anti-sweet methods I've found.

Instead of cake or brownies - even if gluten-free - go for FRUIT. DARK BERRIES are the best, low glycemic index, great antioxidants and nutrients.

and DARK CHOCOLATE - higher than 72%. In the 80-88 % range is the best. One ounce is a reasonable serving - and nuts will really stretch that out, too.

Truvia is more than just stevia. But so many brands of stevia have additives now that it's hard to find a really pure one.

Xylitol and other sugar alcohols can create stomach upset and gas, so be very careful to keep the intake low.

these sites are good places to search real food sweeteners that are safe:

carob powder with coconut oil .. just mix it up! You can add stevia, but you really don't need to

for a 'candy' type recipe....... mix coconut oil, butter, cocoa powder and honey or maple syrup or use stevia if you prefer. Add a pinch of sea salt. Yummy

I put it in the little foil pie pans and froze it.

skip the cocoa if you don't want chocolate.

I make cookies made from almond flour. Here is the recipe.

1 1/2cup almond flour
1/4cup butter, room temp
1/4cup sugar(I use 1/4cup erythritol and 10 drops liquid stevia instead)
1 egg
1/4tsp salt
1/2tsp vanilla exttract
1/4tsp baking soda
1/4cup chocolate chips(I use the sugar free kind)

bake at 375 for about 15 minutes

Remember ROOT VEGETABLES & SQUASHES. This time of year they are at their best and they are a powerhouse of nutrients for our cells.

FENNEL, too. Use all its parts for a very nice sweetness in recipes.

If your body is craving sweets, you may need to add in more root vegetables to (much more) GREENS. The greens really help keep the glycemic effect stable.
