My dear mom passed away last night. She was 93 and suffered from Alzheimer's for the past 13 years. It was so hard to see her starve to death in the final stages.

I can't help thinking Alzheimer's is related to lyme or protomyxzoa. I have an ALS dx and although my memory isn't affected, I have trouble swallowing like my mom did.

Death is part of life. I have missed her for years already.

Dxd ALS 3/2010
Dxd cllinical Lyme 4/2010
Positive for Protomyxzoa but absolutely nothing else in Igenex

Sorry to hear this. I hope you find peace and closure after this difficult time.

These infections take so much from us. I also lost a parent to undiagnosed Lyme and co's.

Please take good care of yourself.

Much love,
BoxerMom

So sorry for your loss. My Dad also died from complications of Alzheimer's disease several years ago. He was an avid gardener and I now wonder if he had lyme.

We felt it was a blessing when he was taken out of his misery - as it was so painful to see him stripped of his dignity during those final years. It is a horrible disease and it is a long slow good bye for family members to grieve.

We all miss him so much and I wonder sometimes if he is looking over me and giving me strength to fight this awful disease. May God bless you, your Mom, and your family.

I'm very sorry for your loss.

God has taken your Mom by the hand and led her into the kingdom of Heaven.

Now she is perfect and basking in the unending happiness and love of God.

If you ever want to read some books that are very comforting and hopeful, I recommend "Heaven is for Real" by Todd Burpo, "Embraced by the Light" by Betty J Eadie, and "Glimpses of Heaven" by Trudy Harris, RN.

I am praying for complete peace and comfort for you and your family.

I'm so very sorry for your loss. My mother passed away in 2005 while I was sick with the diagnosis of CFS, didn't know it was lyme.

My mother died of cancer, but she also had a weird infection which I now believe was lyme or co's. Wish I knew then what I know now.

Time brings healing. She will always be in your heart and I know she is so glad to not be suffering anymore.

PEACE.

2young,

The emotions likely are searing, however, I hope you can color those with the love and memories of the journey you and your mother shared over these past years - along with the dreams & hopes held - conversations & experiences shared.

Hold all that light & love in your heart. And take very good care of it, and yourself.

Dear 2young,
My thoughts, prayers, and heart are with you. Lost my mother the day before Mother's Day almost three years ago. Let those tears come. Keep surrounded by good supporting people who will hold you up right now.

As for Alzheimer's being related, I'm shrugging my shoulders, but I think these parasites have more identities than are currently known. A friend who lost both of her parents to Alzheimer's said that she'd lost her parents years before their bodies died and that she'd seen herself as a caretaker of their shells during the last stages.

I am so sorry for your loss.
