apparently this bronchitis/flu stuff has morphed into something else.

another dr visit and change in meds. while i don't have pneumonia i am not clearing my lungs and he said there's some kind of virus or something but said he doesn't believe it's from the bronchitis.

soooo, now i'm on doxy twice a day for 14 days. still coughing something fierce and have gurgling at the bottom of my rib cage. my back also hurts and i get sharp stabbing pains in my chest and boobs when i try to breath.

soon it will be four weeks and i'm a little better but it's soooo slow going.

dr did mention something about an adult lung infection or something but i didn't understand.

well let's hope this doxy will work. i'm getting so tired of all this.

So sorry to hear that. Hopefully the doxy will do the trick. Hang in there! [group hug]

Some of this stuff is really bad. My daughter came down with pneumonia, passed out on the bathroom floor.

She was VERY dehydrated, took two bags of fluid in the ER, and IV rocephin.

He put her on two abx and she is much better, but not there yet.

Try to keep yourself hydrated, and don't hesitate to go back in and get checked if you think something is wrong.

Take care.

Sounds like pleurisy if it hurts when you breathe. OUCH! I've had that before. Do you think that is what he said?

Yikes, sorry.

Hope your doc isn't seriously trying to treat a virus with abx.
