Can never thank you all enough.....grief is a terrible thing that must be endured to be able to cope. And boy, do we all know grief and endurance, right?
Surprise for me! I was "gifted" a most beautiful puppy by my unbelievably kind sister-in-law just one week after losing my beloved girl. SIL knew how hard I took it and within a week, we have a new family member. Knows we're having $$ problems and said, "there is no price you can put on real love so consider it for free". Classy, huh?
IT'S A BOY!!! and I'm in love.
His name is Mr. Darcy and he's a Bernese Mountain Dog..well, baby. So sweet and smart. Hubby is taking care of the heavy lifting as usual and we're having the time of our lives keeping up with the pup.
I have crashed often, but nice to wake up and have something ...someone to love and care for ....
I would post a pic, but don't know how...he's so cute!

So happy for you! When my springer spaniel was a puppy she had more energy in one minute than I did a whole lifetime! She kept me moving cause I think I would have not got out of bed.
Now she is almost four and my best friend. I hate going to dr appts and leaving her. I thought about putting a little vest on her so she looked like a seeing eye dog. I could take her with me. But figured she would want everyone to pet her and lick everyone and we would get kicked out. Just kidding, she wiggles so much I couldn't even get the vest on!
Enjoy your four legs of pure love and joy!
