This is Logan, one of our board members from Kentuckiana Lyme Support. Some really good info from him.

To those of you that seen Logan's video that I posted here back in early summer when he started this hike......he's turned into a mountain man.

He's still carrying the LYME word and truth down the entire AT. Watch & listen to this truth.

His lyme sx and a new illness giardia from bad water is really taking a toll on him. Please watch his youtubes, 4, I believe.

I honest to goodness don't know how he's doing it. I know personally it's one foot in front of the other, most days just in my limited life. But a hiking trail, 7 states long?

Giardia are killed well with tinidazol,I used to get it from mexico but have not been able to score any for awhile.

2 grams all at once in one dose, giardia will be gone.

Tin. also is thought to bust Lyme cyst forms.

Logan is amazing and a true inspiration to us lymies. He said this morning in a Facebook post that he is feeling a bit better. I really appreciate anyone who can go out and spread the word about lyme. Walking to the mailbox some days is too much for me.

Maddog, was this giardia exposure after lyme and your visit to Mammoth Cave National Park that turned your life upside down?

Logan also was lymed in Mammoth Cave park, 2 yrs ago and also a young mother and her two Boy/Cub Scout sons, 1 1/2 yrs ago in our support group.

Logan and I got sick about the same time. He's so amazing. My back just ACHES when I go to bed at night thinking of him out in that cold damp weather.
He is a constant inspiration to our group. He is very knowledgeable and I envy the way he can relate the facts of lyme and coinfections in his talks. I KNOW that it is a brain-drain to do all that, but he keeps going on.
I want to encourage lyme warriors to post a msg on his page for encouragement and warm thoughts . hehe..

Way to go Logan!!!! He's doing what so many of us couldn't even do at our healthiest!

I can completely sympathize about the bad water illness. I don't know how he gathers the strength to keep going. Logan, you are an inspiration!

Why isn't this on the national news? Whenever someone is walking across country for a cause, I always see it on the news. It seems like Logan's journey should have become viral by now.

We've tried to get him Louisville or KY coverage. We've sent info to every news outlet and no bites.

But Mike, our lyme ill pastor from the church we meet up at has had a lot of press. One station just did a story on Mike/Lyme after the 300,000 announcement fro CDC.

I guess the AT is so many miles away that paying someone to go to him on the trail wouldn't be in budget.

People passing thru Louisville, yes have awareness for many other causes. There's been much of that type coverage this fall in our state.

I just hope when he gets home some media person does his story.
