As much as I try. I've been wrong for so long I can't think positive. With ocd and depersonalization, my brain can't think right. How can I think when all feels so wrong. Like foreign.. I've tried. Adjusting hormones, menopause magnifies the negativity. Cant focus much sleep is really messed up with the dp. Any advice. I try but not really succeeding with anything for the better..

I put on a movie and snuggle with my cats.
Do you have any pets, LIP?
Animals are great therapy.

Are you on any antidepressants? Many years ago, I got in a terrible rut and couldn't stop crying no matter how well things were. Well, you know I do think there is a chemical component... It was like a cloud lifted and I could see things like rest of the world. That was 14 years ago, I've never looked back. They're not happy pills. I still get sad, cranky, bad moods. But the "what if" worry is gone. And I can work through things better.
When I was treating Lyme the pain got really bad and the dr switched me to cymbalta. It has helped both with pain and mood.

I call a friend and I read a few Bible verses I have written down on index cards.
Then I curl up with a good book and lose myself in the fictional world.
God Bless.

I know we're all different when it comes to how we respond to anything, but a homeopathic remedy, 12x pulsatilla made me euphoric. Perhaps you could consider consulting with a really good homeopath.
Basically, switching gears and being involved with anything you enjoy. I think we need to boost our serotonin level - ie a feel-good neurotransmitter.

Have you had your thyroid level checked? When I went on Armour thyroid, I felt more present again. I tested low in T3 and normal TSH.

I finally gave in to psychiatrist insistance that I need good sleep and a mood stabilizer. It takes various drugs to get me to sleep and I still wake sometimes. I take Lamictal for moods and can't manage without it. I had 3 different docs review my meds list and they all agreed on every med.
They did agree I take enough to knock out a horse! But I always seem to need high doses.
Good luck. Don't be shy about asking for help!
