I recall someone posting a web site to get a free credit report.
I just did a search and could only come up with sites that want my visa card.
One was Equifax I think. $20 month but if I call and cancel they will stop takng funds out.
I dont' want to do this because health is not doing welle nough to make phone calls most of the time.
I'd like to get the report from all 3 businesses.
I can't even get a gas credit card. Not sure what is on my report but need to fix it.

I know that if you apply for credit and are denied, they have to tell you why you are denied and they give you free access to the credit reports. You have only a few weeks to take advantage of that.
So... go apply for a card somewhere.

Here is the info about the website that you can use to order your free credit reports from each of the 3 credit reporting agencies once per year.

If you only do one at a time, you can check your credit report four times/year. The site Dekrator posted.

If you wish to protect your privacy and your wallet it is important to only request your credit report and/or score directly from the 3 reporting bureaus - Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion. As Dekrator48 notes, each of the 3 bureaus has to grant you a report once a year for free. There is other good info on their webpage.
However, it is important to note that a "Credit Report" is not the same thing as your "Credit Score", and these agencies are not required to offer you the score for free, unlike the report itself once per year. Typically, it is only a small, single charge in order to be granted access to your score (the 3-numeral identifier that shows your overall credit viability according to these agencies) when you order your qualified yearly free credit report from each bureau.
One thing to be aware of is that the vast majority of websites that offer you a "free score" or any sort of "free reports when ever you want, free reports monthly etc.." are not free at all - they can be expensive subscription services. Some of them are just outright scams, but there are legit services too - even each of the 3 bureaus tend to have a "credit monitoring/credit score PLUS" program that is designed to alert you if you're worried about identity theft etc.. but it has a monthly or yearly fee.
Unless you're sure you want instant access and want to pay for it, or have some sort of credit monitoring service etc... be sure to just take the free report and or low-cost non-recurring payment for a credit score, even though many who have these additional services will try to steer you towards the "deluxe", more expensive packages on their websites.

My brain was working well enought o figure out that a credit score was not what I wanted.
I want a report so I can make sure that what is reported is actually mine and not someone else's.
I thought I was doing well enough to do that today until I started searching for this thread and then reading it.
Brain faded fast.
But, at least doing well enuogh to copy and paste so I will have the info when needed.
