We desperately try to heal the body, sometimes it about healing the spirit. I know we can see a pastor, priest, rabbi or what your religious belief takes you too. Just curious about shamans and I'm curious about success with them.

If that doesn't work, you might try reading tea leaves or having a seance.

Hey Bob,

Very profound question you bring. :)I googled "healing illness with shamans" One article that came up was a hospital in Merced,Calif (Mercy Medical Center) where they permit shamans to come in and perform their healing.

We don't have the answers to all of the dynamics involved in illness, but being open to ALL possibilities while still being proactive in traditional healing methods is important.

There is a doctor (psychologist) from Hawaii that cured all of the patients from a prison for the criminally insane using the ancient practice of Ho'Oponopono. You can check it out on Youtube.

I have seen a Shaman, A "Real one" in Tucson. She is a relative and I have known her a long time. She has helped me more then anything else! Her Honesty and non-judgment are very clear. She has helped me understand myself better, by helping remove "blocks" in my mind that were keeping me from Healing. I have much more things to "let go" but am getting Real Help from my Spirit Helpers! Just make sure you see someone who you can Trust completely! Health and Happiness,GT44

With a true shaman, it will be a process - over time - and not necessary directed at a particular infection. It may be helpful in many regards as part of the healing process.

Sorting out a true shaman from the wanna-be one who want to do a quick session and collect some big bucks can be tricky.

You might check with the heads of the Native American tribes in your area. A true shaman must have gone through many years of a special training.

Be careful about all the organizations with flashy appeal.

There is likely at least a couple good books on this, too. Still, it would be an individual experience.

I went to one once who but kind of got the impression he was more a pop-psych wanna-be even if he heart might have been in the right place (and charged barely nothing), he was far from the real deal.

It takes someone very gifted - and someone who has had training that involves psychology as well. This can be extremely sensitive and intense counseling work over many month for the patient (training takes many years).

I agree completely, Keebler. I am very grateful to have the Honor to know this woman, who has had, and is still getting, much training and studying from Shamans and books and what she calls her "Helpers". It is nothing short of Amazing, some of the things I experienced when working WITH her. It really is just a different way of seeing ones self, and the world, but it can be life changing if one puts in the time and desire! Happiness GT44

Whether shamn, intuition, meditation, messages from angels or your spirit of choice i know im better off listening to help me make decisions.

I have lost faith in so many doctors. The answers are not all backed by science yet. I even shy away from any llmd who says he can cure me

Work with me yes. But not cure. Get quiet...and listen. It helps

I went to two Benny Hinn conventions in Cincinnati .

It took one to learn how everything works.

There was a presence there I could not say it was the holy sprit,I thought it was Jesus himself.

Ther was a healing angel in the old testament stirring the waters of a spring. If you were first to jump in you got healed.

I went back a second time, just when i was getting in the spirit something hit me in the back. There was some strange women behind me one of them threw a ink pen hitting me in the back.

I think they were witches!!!!!!

I went down to the wall and found out how to open a gate to get down to were the action was happening. I let a woman in also she got healed!!!!

I went down there right almost to the front beside the wall. Benny waved his hand and everyone was falling on me,I was hanging on to the wall to not fall down.

It twisted my bad back real bad. Total pain!!!

I was so hurt that I went there and left worse than before.

Turnes out my back got better a lot better after that.

BENNY CHIRO. ?????

It's really not quite like that. Sadly, media distortions (and those who misrepresent for their own purposes) over the years take a toll on the reality & depth of the process.

And, yet, laughter (whether instigated by Benny Hill or other Court Jesters) can be very good in its own regard, too.

In addition to emotional / spiritual counseling . . . some shamans are also trained to use certain native herbs. (And I'm not talking about Peyote, another media distortion darling).

Just as with the various herbal traditions on multiple continents, the herbs of North America did support the health of a People / various tribes over centuries. There is much wisdom to that as well, when approached in the proper manner.

MADDOG,

Your description was right out of an SNL skit. [lol] Thanks for the laugh. It is the best medicine.

Glad your back got better.

I thought Maddog meant Benny Hill too!
Though to me that other Benny might be just as strange.
