Mel Gibson asked me to a hotsy-totsy party in LA again this year, but I had to turn him down due to his very publicized bad behavior of recent years. (For new comers- its a long story.)

Now I am trying to decide if I should go to NY City and hang out with Anderson Cooper- you know that Kathy can be pretty pushy can't she? But, Michael Weatherly wanted to meet me afterward for a midnight dance which sounds good to me.

Or, meet David Beckman for a date on his yacht for a private party, though he is not really my type, OR...

Daniel Sunjata- possibly go with him just about anywhere?

Of course Jim Caviezel will be my breakfast date for the first new year's meal. (Gotta keep these guys happy you know.)

So, what are you doing to celebrate the new year, little wall flower?

[lol]

Well, Rod Stewart, who at 70 is still sexy, is coming over for appetizers and... there's the door bell. Gotta go.

The traditional tune, yet a particular favorite with such a rich voice (Dougie pronounced "DUE GEE"):

FUNNY hiker!

Yes, nice versions Keebler. Don't care for the Scottish version as much, not my "cup of tea".

Just Don, I spent the afternoon at the cemetery visiting and remembering. Ended up cleaning off a bunch of stones that looked lonesome.

At least we have an advantage, we are still above ground. Enjoy that chili!

I am sitting in my family room with a fire in the fireplace with absolutely NO smoke coming out of it by some miracle, the dog is at my feet as I eat a yummy ceasar salad and wait for the lobster in the kitchen to somehow cook itself! waiting for midnight to toast with Pelligrino.

..... and after that Tom Cruise is coming over with Mel Gibson (c.Gladiator) to play LOTR Trivial Pursuit. YEEEEEEOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!

11:22 here. Dh is downstairs watching tv, I'm up on this PC with the dog and the black cat, and trust...I'll be in bed by midnight when dh comes and kisses me goodnight.

Had a funny memory filled fight fest with my brother an hour ago....he always wants to tell stories from HIS perspective of us growing up. He's funny that way.....note to Thomas AGAIN..a conversation means 2 sides get to talk!!!! Funny and normal.

Life goes on as it should and all I hope is that life right this moment is the same next year at this time.

Happy New Year Lymenet friends!

I went rapidly back and forth between NYC and LA last nite - it's called whiz flights, within seconds - visited with Carrie Underwood and others in NY and too many bands to mention in LA -

and also went to Sydney, Auckland, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Beijing, Dubai, Munich and London for fireworks galore -

Oh yeah, also went to a Jimmy Buffett concert in Brooklyn after midnite - for the Margaritaville song -

And now I'm exhausted and resting today, except for the Rose Bowl parade and Vienna's New Year's serenade later on...

HA! You watched the chit chat party stuff and all I kept seeing was the COMMERCIALS!!!! I am soooooo tired of commercials!

I watched 'Taxi Brooklyn' episodes on demand- just learned how to do that- with no commercials. Love it!!!

Of course that was after all the excitement from earlier on!

I have a method for dealing with commercials - I have the TV turned towards me. As soon as one comes on, I turn the sound off and continue with whatever I'm dealing with online

and then turn the sound back on when the show's on again. That works. And I get things done online at the same time.

Congrats to you Lisa! A lady of leisure! How sweet it is!

It's like having tea and watching the clothes in the dryer go round and round. One of my favorite past times! ~smile~

BTW- do they make much noise?

Keebler- accents never bothered me before Lyme, then they started to, and now they totally irritate me. I can't find a mute button fast enough when I hear one.

Isn't that awful to admit? I'm sorry!!!! I wish it weren't so!!!

Not sure if it is my super-sensitivity to sounds and startle reflex- or something of the like- or it's because I can't follow the words without trying to decipher what each of the words are then can't catch up to their meanings cause the speaker is going too fast?

My point being- as soon as I heard the accent the mute button came on! Sorry!!!

Tincup, no it is pretty quiet. you can put it on turbo and it then is a little noisier.

it is fun. hehe.

I don't mind accents, but I really have a hard time listening to people's chewing noises! and once I notice it it gets louder and louder.
