You guys are not alone!
What am I? Chopped liver!
You guys here on Lymenet have saved me many, many times from feeling so alone and isolated.
I remember living on church property (100 acres), alone except for my dog and going through treatment hell.
Anyways, I'm here if you need me.

Don I caught another turtle today,It is not a snapper this time it is a chicken turtle.
I ate the snapping turtle it was scrumptious.
Chicken turtles are not supposed to be from here they are way south of here.
Someones Florida pet that got dumped in the lake,we also have some aquarium fish here they are like piranna they have teeth.I eat them allso.
Reason they call them chicken turtles, they taste like chicken.
I haven"t released it yet,i may eat it.
Robin,not a bad idea.
Aklnwlf ,thanks, good to have you here.

Hi there <<<<< MADDOG >>>>>,
We know how you feel, TxCoords uncle on his Moms side is all that is left,on either side of our family, from the older generation,And Uncle B is 86, is failing with a tumor/growth between his ear and brain. He falls easily, and is not doing well. He lives down in Tennessee.
No one from my folks or grandparents era in my family is alive, perhaps a cousin in hers is still living, but she is in 80's and not answering mail or phone.
Nobody near my age, in family either side is in the state of Nevada, where we now live. Some in Washington and Oregon, some younger in Alaska, One in Florida.
Our Lymenet family, and some church folk here are about all, TxCoord and I have. I have to keep giving it all to the Source and Creator of Love,Light, and Life.
I wish there was a way, that we could all meet, and just exchange hugs, friendship and info' IRL. For now Cyberhugs must do...and lots of prayers!
You are not forgotten, so many here, are facing these issues, and when our pets pass on,it leaves a hole in our lives too.
Hope you can make some good, safe friends, and find a pet[s],that fits with your lifestyle.
Jus' Silverwolfi, we know why the Dogs, and Wolves howl...

Are you now squirrel-y? Pun intended. You need a new pet to discuss things with you. Have you thought about a parrot? They are not tasty, but can be interesting conversationalists.

Hi <<<<< MADDOG >>>>>,
How are you today? TxCoord is waiting to find out if they will release him from hospital today.
Ann-OH's reply made me think, would a canary or two be to noisy for you to handle?
With all the toxic chemicals wandering about [er...uhm neighbors], a canary would know fairly quickly if something chemical wise is up. I was thinking about canaries in the coal mine scenarios.
We've known of a couple folks who had them as pets, I don't think they'd taste to good tho' LOL!
When we lived in Loosianna [yup misspelled Louisiana on porpoise] we were fortunate enough to try 'gator tail, and boy was it tasty! Crawfish and crabs were great too, and 'shrimps'!
Do you like dogs? There are some really fantastic ones, if you can be around them, and watch out for ticks. I was thinking of some of the service dogs we've seen around lately.
Sometimes pets can help us find new friends too, animals tend to sense if someone is safe, and decent.
Well,I hope your day is going well, and you are feeling better.
Jus' Silverwolfi here

Thinking of turtles, my great aunt Olga would cook snappin' toitle (her words and pronunciation) and it must have been good cuz nobody in the family was skinny!
However - no one would eat alligator snapping turtles! They are not only bad tempered and mean but the even the Cajuns would not eat them - and if a Cajun won't eat sum - ting it must be bad!

What I admire in Maddog is his willingness and ability to jump in a vehicle
and drive half way across the country to do what he enjoys.
Myself I sit home alone every night because dont even have anyone to go to the movies
or good concerts with!!!
Good scenery is best enjoyed with someone else(my thoughts)
but Maddog is able to enjoy them solo also!!

Today was my birthday I am getting younger now.
Don i am planning a trip. It is taking me a long time to put it all together.
It will be a hot spring soaking trip.
I do tend to be a bit autistic.
Maybe next year i will plan another float and everyone can come to it.
Everybody doesn't have to float maybe just bob around in a hot spring some were,I just thought of that.
All Lyme victims would like to get in a hot spring.
Hey like Saratoga Wyoming it is free!!!
Maybe set up a camp on BLM land out side of town and cook all kinds of good stuff.
Then go into town and soak all afternoon in the hot spring.FREE
