- A lot of these ALSO contain important anti-inflammatory antioxidants and bioflavioids. Sometimes, these rule.
Some foods (or food groups) do have certain concerns for some people, of course & if one can tell a certain food does not work for them changes may be in order.
Still, it's important not to just look at one element in any food but look at it as a whole. As a whole, there may be other elements to it that balance out those of concern.
And, if one food or group must be avoid, be sure to find others that carry the requisite nutrients.

This is goldmine to see the various nutrients in various foods. However, their site search function is not quite in synch. To search any food use this formula:

- Many with lyme and candida avoid fruits (such avoidance, I found out, can cause terrible trouble for various reasons). This can set someone up for scurvy and other nutritional risks.
Yet, if citrus does not work, other ways to get Vitamin C - best in real whole foods. There are also many low glycemic fruits that have vital nutrients that can work with a balanced diet. And, even some vegetables that have good amounts.
I found that when I am on "Buhner herbs" (in quotes because I have my personalized combo)
the inflammation is DOWN
no matter what else I do
and it is the only thing that has worked and kept it down when I stopped
when I got on abx lately again
and the inflammation flared, I added the herbs again and the inflammation is down again
I take Japanese Knotweed, Cat's Claw, Ashwagandha, Dan Shen, and many others but those are porbably the main ones to reduce inflammation
I also take Gelatin powder and mushroom powders that seem to help with the inflammation: Chaga, Reishi, Cordyceps, and Lion's Mane
