Either she wants out of the spot light or just doesn't know what she's talking about...
I've been 6 months without antibiotics before, basically no symptoms, doesn't mean I was in remission.
There's no blood test to officially tell someones in remission, she's just basing her remission just on her symptoms, which isn't very reliable...
If you've gone antibiotic free for a year, yeah I'd say you're closer to remission. Judging from her posts and recent treatment, which was only dated (August to November), I highly doubt she's in remission.
I remember the implant surgery post and how much she claimed that helped! Lyme Disease plays too much with your mind, there's just too many ups and downs for a person to come to a conclusion their in remission under a year... You need to base it off of a year or longer!
It's kind of sad she makes these statements when I think about it, because it probably confuses a lot of people. A surgery of any kind, in the era we currently live in, is not going to cure Lyme Disease within a few months....
Yolanda has also done a lot of sketchy alternative treatment in the past!
And honestly, kind of sad she's become one of the biggest spokesperson for this disease, we deserve better, but hey, guess any publicity is good for Lyme...
Just my input, glad she's feeling better though!

That was the big game changer.
Ummm yeah, Dr. K's treatments are highly embellished and very controversial. I still think he's an intelligent guy, but he basis a lot of his treatment off of herbal remedies and hypothesis, which is just still up in the air whether or not they work.
And from my understanding, she's been with Dr. K for quite some time now... He's not a new thing with her!

She did 9 months of IV abx, had silicon and dental removed, CCSVI surgery and then went to Dr. K.
So not just Dr. K.

I just have the upmost respect for Yolanda, a true warrior.
Yolanda was chosen to be part of a new cinical trial. No details were released as to what kind or who was conducting it. Yolanda, herself didn't even know if she was recieving a Placebo(fake) or the actual treatment. Clearly it shows promising results.
She also is a mother with 2 Lyme infected children. Her mission has always been to find a cure for her children and then for herself. She has the connections to the best medical Care providers. She has the money and time in which to devote all her energies to the latest emerging therapies.
And that she continues to share her journey with private medical information that might benefit others, I find commendable and very grateful. She has raised millions of dollars in research dollars and declared war on Lyme disease.
I remember president George Bush contracting Lyme in Texas in 1994. There wasn't a word about how long he had it or the treatment he recieved. He only said he had to leave Texas to get cured. Yea, thanks buddy.
