Spring is here.

I m so scared of ticks bitting me. I m really scared of my dogs getting bit because they are my buddies. One sleeps on my bed and the other sleeps on the floor at the foot of my bed.

I have pulled a tick off of each of them with tweezers. Of coarse this was after I got sick and became Lyme litterate.

Last year I had them both tested for Lyme and both were negative. Both started sleeping a lot and one now walks with a limp.

Not too much faith in animal Lyme tests either.

So I got them the Lyme vaccine for dogs, but I don't have total confidence in that.

Any suggestions for the BEST prevention treatment for my dogs ?

I remain vigilant in full body searches upon entering my house.

I thank you and so do my buddies.

The TKO Orange folks say it can be lightly misted/rubbed on dog fur for added protection.

This is orange essential oil that I get in concentrate form from www.organicorangetkocal.com - I have no financial connections with them - I just order their concentrate, which lasts a long time.

I put a couple drops in a spray bottle, fill with water, and spray on my clothing and gear when I'm outside. I don't use it on skin.

Thanks Robin123.

I saw that stuff once while I was shopping but can't remember where. I ll have to have it shipped.

Last year I bought cedar granulated concentrate for yard from Walmart.

I look at all bugs differently now.

You said.. "Both started sleeping a lot and one now walks with a limp."

I've learned that a trial of Doxy can do wonders for the dogs and provide some answers. And had you considered Bartonella? In some areas it was determined more dogs than cats had "cat-scratch fever".

Here is the Pets & Other Animals webpage. I saw your post the other day and wouldn't respond because I knew my Pet pages needed updating and I didn't feel it was proper to toss out old info.

So for many, many hours in the past few days I researched and redesigned and posted all new info on there JUST FOR YOU!

Ta Da! Here ya go Missy.

Hope it helps! And thanks for keeping me busy so I can't do my housework! I love that part!

I wonder why anyone would ever go somewhere else for the best and most recent info on anything Lyme.

The links on this website are so informative, professional, and life-saving.

Great job Tincup !
