I m BROKE !
I feel so fortunate that I have been able to afford my treatment for the past 5 months, as many others can not.
LLMD wants a pic line and IV meds next. I can't afford it, agh..
I sold my old wedding ring (no sentimental value), sold my John Deere tractor ( lots of sentimental value) and numerous other prized possessions.
For the life of me, I just don't understand why nothing is being done to get insurance coverage for treatment for TBD's.. What am I missing here ? It is a legitimate disease. Other diseases cost way more than our cheap antibiotics.
IT DOESN T MAKE SENSE !!!!
How can we get our situation changed ? Why is our voice not being heard ? And finally, how did this even happen in the first place ? What genius decided to play GOD ?
I believe Connecticut and Massachusette require insurance companies to provide long term antibiotic treatment for TBI's. I want to move there. Ground zero.

The first step is recognition AND acceptance by the medical community in toto. Unless and until all are on the bandwagon, nothing will happen [except for isolated states as you mentioned].

Sorry you are having such a crummy time of it. NOT fair. But, the IDSA/CDC doesn't care and will not help. In fact they will continue to fight you and all of us.
If you send me an email- no I don't usually keep addresses (sorry)- I'll send you some info that might be of interest.
