Another week of God's grace and hope. May we all get some exercise in this week in one form or another.

I walked 20 minutes this morning--half without my trekking poles and half with. Trying to build to walk longer without them but need to be on a flat smooth surface.

Great service at church. Pastor talked about grace and hope. He started the service by saying that God's Words bring cooling to those who are in a hot time in their life (weather reference, too).

Since it is still roaring fire hot outside I probably will stay inside and finish up laundry and otherwise have a lazy day.

Have a wonderful week!! [group hug]

Sunday-Thanks Hiker for getting us going this week. Glad to hear you got a walk in today. I'm with you about this heat!

No exercise but went to the nice and cool indoor flea market again with Mom and Josh. We shopped around for about 2 1/2 hours. I loved looking at all the older items. Then we went out to dinner and vegged out at home later.

TuTu-Hope your dental appointment isn't to dreadful. If I have fillings etc. I get some anxiety. Been having more of that lately and think it's my MCAD. I went to the health food store today and bought liquid melatonin for sleep issues and powdered chlorella to put in my juices to boost health and vitality for me and Mom.

See you guys on the flipside!

Wow. Only 80 degrees today. Feels like heaven.

Walked 24 minutes half without trekking poles and half with.

Ran a lot of errands.

Made some blueberry muffins and meatloaf to freeze for mom.

Went to chiropractor. Needed an adjustment after all that driving.

Let's know how the dental appointment went, Tutu.

Ak--hope that anxiety gets reduced soon. Life is stressful enough without Lyme and MCAD.

LP--where are you? How are you?

Whew... Made it home about 4 pm and went straight to bed. Slept 2+ hours. So exhausted.

Had to have another crown. Danged teeth. A molar chipped off about 10 days ago and I had to wait for a time we could make the trip.

I'm off to my GP tomorrow ..

Hiker .. it was in the low 90's here today .. SO MUCH BETTER than 100!

AK .. Yes, I've never had anxiety at dental appointments until last month when he had to pull that tooth. That was horrendous.

Today my cheek swelled up from the carbocaine. He used that instead of the one with epinephrine since my heart went nutso last time.

Darn lost my post! Can't type all that again, so here's the quick version.

Exercise today helping brother try to find leak in roof via extension ladder, crawling around attic with flashlight later during storm to try and find the leak from the inside.

You all are doing great with exercise and knocking those appointments out.

Later gang!

AK--I have been on my roof (bilevel house) only once and that was enough. I don't do ladders barely at all now.

Did more grocery shopping. My mom gave me a huge list of items to bring to her next week. Wonder if I will have room for myself in the car.

Walked 30 minutes but had to use my trekking poles.

Played dominos with 3 friends this afternoon. I took a beating, but sure had fun. And I even said "no" to the peach daiquiris.

Tuesday-No exercise but changed beddings and washed 3 loads of laundry. Me and Mom went to the commissary came home to put up groceries then off to the mall.

Found out a department store 75 miles from us is having a sale tomorrow so taking Mom and her BFF in the morning.

Just finished cubing up some watermelon and washing grapes and I'm done for the day.

Hiker-I paid for climbing the extension ladder. Didn't actually get on the roof but would if it was an emergency. I don't know how you passed on the peachy goodness!

TuTu-I'm with you and Hiker on loving games. This Thursday our family is getting together at Josh's for dinner and another fun filled night of Catch Phrase. We're all looking forward to it!

Kayak-I still have my original password when I signed on. It's so weird that it's stuck in my head all these years! I'm bad about remembering all my other ones and have them on a thumb drive.

See you all tomorrow!

Feeling toxic yesterday and today. No exercise today. Lots of muscle twitching. [shake]

So odd, Monday I ran a ton of errands with no walking stick. Today I can barely make it down the stairs. This cycle is getting very old and gets me down.

Went to eye appointment--all is well. Last medical appointment of the summer.

Made gluten free zucchini bread. Will use other half of enormous zucchini to make another loaf tomorrow. Only had one bread pan. LOL

Called about smart meters that are being installed in the near future for electric readings. Can opt out, but it is very expensive. Will have to make a decision. Guess I can try one and if it seems to affect me the rep said I could change it out for a regular meter.

Sorry to hear that you are having trouble again, hiker! Zucchini bread sounds delicious. My mom used to make it... well, I used to make it too!!

AK.. hope your shopping trip went well!!

I went to PT and then ran a few errands. It's hot again today, but it will be a little cooler tomorrow...then will be in the 80's for about a week!! Wooohooo!! And 60's at night!! I can handle that!

Going to the city tomorrow for acupuncture. Looking forward to it. My shoulders have been way better lately.

Hope kayak can get on her computer soon to be able to come back on LN.

Wednesday-Shopped around with Mom and her BFF for about 2 1/2 hours. They both bought some goodies and I bought a casual long sleeved white cotton shirt.

Came home and rested before tackling potato salad for tomorrow's dinner.

Hiker-Did you go to the energy healer recently? You know I have good days and bad days too. My friend in ATL wants me to visit for a week in August when my Mom goes to Hawaii. Could do 4 days tops. I'd like to go to Dauphin Island AL for a night and sort out my head and heart so might do that before heading north.

TuTu-What I wouldn't give for some cooler weather! Thinking about going to the beach for a one nighter in August. It's a small island that most people don't go to, so perfect for me. I still haven't read my Norman Mailer novel so might take that for company.

Sleep well friends!

Ak--have not been to energy healer lately. Felt super great Monday and sometimes when I have a super good day I crash afterwards.

Chiropractor may have unlocked toxins, too, on Monday.

My theory, though, is that I pick up a virus and my immune system overreacts and then I get toxic.

Dauphin Island sounds wonderful, AK.

My hubby is having a rough time of it lately... trying to decide if one of the 'bugs' are flaring, or if he's just herxing.

He says it feels like his lorazepam quit working. Which would be an anxious feeling.

He also has a lot of muscle pain and digestive upset. He's back to spending most of the time in bed.

So his exercise is getting from bed to the bathroom and to the kitchen for meals.

MannaMe--Sorry to hear your hubby is not feeling well. This disease is confounding.

He is God blessed to have your support!

Woke up to the sound of heavy machinery. They are installing new fiber optics in our neighborhood for a new wireless internet company. Will take them until the end of next week.

I am sure there will be holes in my yard from all this, but I have no choice in the matter.

Managed to get in a 28 minute walk half with poles and half without, but still feeling pretty toxic.

Made another loaf of zucchini bread. This one huge zucchini probably has enough left for 2 more loaves.

Went to the library to nab some books. Think I will curl up and read now.

I have been taping the world swimming championships in the morning and watching them at night. Some good bodies to look at. [Wink] [Big Grin]

Thursday-No exercise yet but made a ham to take to Josh's for family get together. So me, Mom and Josh along with my brother's family minus one all noshed and had a rousing night of Catch Phrase. Our teams were 3 girls against 3 boys (old school). We girls were on fire and won 3-1! Course Josh was pulling the weight of his team so it wasn't a fair win.

Hiker-The only theory I've been tossing around lately is it's a mast cell reaction. Sure gets frustrating!

Swimmers are definitely in good shape! Talk about a workout! Haven't really had a chance to swim a lot myself. There's a pool at the local Y that I went to check out but the smell of chlorine was so strong, so decided to pass on a membership.

Manna-Sorry to hear your hubs is not doing well. Anxiety is hard to deal with, I struggle with it myself. I've tried so many different things to help but could be mast cell related for me. Hope he feels better!

Hope TuTu and Kayak are OK.

Bye for now.....

AK-I have never played Catch Phrase. Sounds fun. Way to go women!!

Grocery shopped.

Met a friend for iced decaf mochas. A rare treat and a good chat.

A friend is coming over tonight for a gab session. She is the one who takes me to a lot of my MD appointments.

Got a letter today from a local man who has Lyme and wants to start a support group in town. He got my name from the news article that came out last month.

I will pass on the support group, but will make contact with him. Ironically he lives in the neighborhood on the street I used to live on 30 years ago.

Walked about 30 minutes and 2/3 of it was without trekking poles. Must have been that iced café mocha!

Friday-No exercise again but did errands with Josh, one of which was to the library. So a pretty laid back day.

Hiker-You're doing great with the exercise! I don't even exercise at home doing my DVDs so apparently I've lost my motivation again. Oh, I meant to ask if you've ever played Triominos? It's like dominos but the pieces are triangular shaped and have numbers instead of dots. I have a set along with Farkle Party (dice game) collecting dust. Hard to find folks who like to play board games, etc. I might have to join a group. Think the library or senior center has some.

See everyone tomorrow!

Finally, after 7 months on lymenet, I can post on this exercise thread. [Smile]

Exercise is so very important. The problem is you cannot do it unless the pain and total exhaustion subsides. Ugh . . .

Friends purchased me a gym membership. It included a 1 hour session with a trainer. Without getting into the specifics of my private health info, I stated I had been bedbound recently after an illness. My goal was to regain muscle loss and reboot my immune system.

This, as with everything else in life, is where a professional really matters.

She explained the core of your body is the most important. Proper posture while exercising with weights, bone loss, immune system, stress, confidence in yourself, diet.

I lasted only 20 minutes with just the basics of stretches and lunges, as i knew I would, but still was proud of myself. Felt the pain the next day but nothing major.

Never was a gym person. My job provided all the exercise I needed. It looks like the gym is gonna be my new home away from home, for the time being. [bow]

Keep treating and keep fighting, Lyme warriors.

Way to Go, Bartenderbonnie!!!!

Drove to my parents and dropped off groceries and picked up new computer and printer.

My exercise today is an exercise in frustration. I don't like my new computer. Very slow and I can't get the printer to work. Trying to download Microsoft office right now and may be here for days.

AK .. I played Triominos once... a long time ago so I don't really remember much. I used to belong to a Bunco group when we lived in San Antonio. I just LOVED it. You should look around for one. Bunco is big in the South.

Bonnie.. We count just washing clothes as exercise, so you are way ahead of the game!! Welcome!

I forgot to post about my exercise on Thursday. I did 41 minutes on the machine and 10 laps. I hope I can go twice next week. I'm way behind!!

I heard from kayak last night. She was having chest pain. She finally went to the ER and it was gastritis, thank goodness. I know that doxy must be eating up her stomach. OUCH...I hate that stuff!

She was doing better today but was having to sit around for the washer repairman.

I ran errands and also bought a bunch of school supplies, T-shirts and underwear for OCC. This is the best time of year for staples! Wal Mart has crayons for 50 cents a pack. (Crayola brand) and the cheap ones for 25 cents.

It's been cooler the past few days; such a relief. We even have low humidity. Poor hiker had to suffer through our hottest week last week!!

I'm going to a show with my friend tonight. It's a show I've seen, but I know it will be great! Saw this guy two years ago. He's the cousin of someone VERY famous.

Tomorrow is our church's picnic. We are really picnicking in style. It's going to be at a "resort" clubhouse and the brunch will be catered. NICE .. We are all getting too old to cook for big gatherings, so we treat ourselves!

We're going to play Bingo! [lol]

I bought the prizes (with church money)... I think they will like the prizes!

Saturday-No exercise but quick trip to Mall with Mom. Later went to Divorce Care support group with my friend and we both stayed for church afterwards.

BB-Welcome to the thread! 20 minutes is awesome! I remember trying to get in shape for an AK hike back in 2013. I only lasted like 3 minutes on the stair climber but worked up to 30. Bad days I watch foreign or old DVDs from the library. I take the stairs at the library every time I go.

Hiker-What in the world is wrong with the computer?! Eww, I'd be burning mad if I was in your shoes! I rely on Josh when I have technical issues and usually between the two of us we can figure it out. Good luck!

TuTu-I think I may have seen Bunco at the library. Will have to look around. Trying to find social outlets that are free or very inexpensive.

Way to go on the exercise and thanks for the update on Kayak. So not able to get on Lymenet any more?

Oh and I'm inviting myself to that picnic! Indoors AND catered!

See you all tomorrow!
