This should make you want to scream! PURE TRASH!

Hundreds of positive tests were sent in from labs, but they (CDC & Dept of Health in Arkansas) still insist there is no Lyme disease in Arkansas!

Note the lead author has no prior Lyme publishing experience (like Christine Nelson several years ago). Where is her back bone? Or her brain, or her morals, or .... UGH!

Proteges in training? Both are women- and we’ve seen women threatened by the establishment to tow the line, especially when they are from another county and brought to the USA for ID purposes.

The other old toads have published with Ben Beard, Paul Mead, Wormser, etc.

QUOTE- "Although Arkansas lies within the geographic range of the principal Lyme disease tick vector, Ixodes scapularis, because of ecologic and entomologic factors, the risk for human infection is low, and no confirmed Lyme disease cases were reported in Arkansas during 2008–2014 (1).

However, during 2015–2016, the Arkansas Department of Health (ADH) received several hundred potentially positive serologic laboratory reports for Lyme disease.”

Then they go on to UN-diagnose all of the Lyme cases because they didn’t fit the CDC/CSTE surveillance definition, as they did in FL, NC and many other states for decades.

To read this garbage..

This TRASH reminds me of the CDC’s 2011 review of 114 death certificates that had Lyme disease recorded on them, and the CDC then UN-diagnosed the cause of death (without doing an autopsy or reviewing any medical records), concluding…

QUOTE- "Lyme disease was listed as an underlying or multiple cause of death on 114 death records during 1999-2003. Upon review, only 1 record was consistent with clinical manifestations of Lyme disease. This analysis indicates that Lyme disease is rare as a cause of death in the United States.”

I like to refer people to www.dogsandticks.com - click on Diseases in Your Area at the top - a map of the US comes up - click on a state to see numbers of Lyme disease reported in dogs. Also shows stats for ehrlichia and anaplasma.

"And you mean to tell me ticks bite and infect only dogs, not people?"

I know someone who used to live in Arkansas, but who was so sick with Lyme, who got better. But he said AK was LOADED with ticks. He moved to Hawaii to get away from them.

And I have a colleague/friend who also lives there. She said, also, that it's loaded with ticks. She has a neurological disease, but will NOT listen about Lyme!! Go figure. And they have a managerie of animals, too. Sigh.

The CDC, IDSA, etc. has blood on their hands.

I do not understand their endgame here. I thought they were trying to create a market for their new vaccine...

It is interesting how they mentioned B. Mayonii in the article.

I'm sure when their vaccine is closer to being ready they will make some huge announcement.

Something like- New pathogen that causes Lyme disease discovered in the in the South. Our heroes Wormser and Steere, who care so much about your family's health, discovered a new species of Lyme causing Borrelia. Lyme is in the south after all. Come one come all and get your vaccine!!! Step right up!!!

[lol]

Funny Mash! Made me laugh! Maybe they could slip the vaccine into the biscuits and gravy to make it more plausible?

So sad to hear Rumi. Bless their heart.

Robin- good site and yes- ticks will bite dogs in the south and NOT humans? Right!
