I saw some basic lack of info about Lyme disease in the comments in the aol home page article on Sunday - People did not know that negative tests could be inaccurate. That seems to be a very basic point to need. "Oh no, I tested for Lyme and I'm negative." And in the meantime, they're mentioning a ton of symptoms! Vs the AIDS test with 95% accuracy.
They didn't know that only 20-30% get a bull's eye rash or that it's a definite positive.
They didn't know how long they needed to treat. "I did my 2-4 weeks of antibiotics" kind of statement.
They weren't well directed to Lyme-treating doctors.
