Hey gang,

I am going to admit that today is a lazy day for me. Am doing laundry and sitting on the couch reading and watching football.

Overdid it yesterday and need to chill today so I can be my best at work tomorrow.

Lp said she is fine and took Etta for a short walk. I think she was having phone/Lymenet issues.

Whatever you can do this week, let us know or if you just want to gab on this thread, gabbing counts as jaw exercise! [Big Grin]

Have a super week!

Thanks Hiker for getting us going. Sometimes you just have to relax!

Today I used the weed popper for about an hour. So got some fresh air, sunshine and some exercise.

Then cooked up a storm and made purple hull peas, cornbread and kale. Josh came over for our usual Sunday dinner.

TuTu glad you've got some meds. Steroids make me crazy and I can't sleep either. My allergist gave me some for anaphylaxis which I'm supposed to take with Benadryl and use an epipen.

Anyways, you guys are awesome and see you all tomorrow!

Monday-Not alot of sleep today, a little down because my Mom mentioned getting me a new stove since one of the burners went kaput yesterday.

She said she wanted to do it while she was alive.

So we went shopping today for a stove.

Got two loads of laundry going and that's it for exercise.

AK--Your mom is just looking out for you and being the good mom that she has always been, but I know it must be really hard for you.

What kind of stove did you settle on? I will need a new one soon as mine was in the house when I bought it in 1989 and it wasn't new then.

I came home from school as soon as I could as heavy thunderstorms are forecasted with hail. Wind gusts are already at 40 mph and expected to get higher.

Then rain changes to snow tonight and we get a 30 degree temperature drop.

My knee has flared up again, so taking it easy on it for a few days. I stood and walked around the classroom a lot today, so I guess that will have to count as my exercise.

Awe, AK .. That is so sweet of her. She deserves special hugs today. (and so do you)

hiker .. I hope the storms won't be too bad. Ouch on the knee. I guess it just told you that a storm is on the way.

I've been up most of the day, though not really doing very much. I did manage a shower and lie down for a bit, but then hubby had questions about his dad's estate stuff and I never got back to trying for a nap.

It's raining here. We got rain last night too. We're in a moderate drought. It actually might be severe, I'm not sure the exact status.

PS .. I slept well last night! The doctor gave me some cough medicine with phenergan .. woot!

Tuesday-Just light cooking and dishes for exercise today. Spent the day with Mom getting some keepsakes ready for the 5 grandkids.

Years ago my Mom had her father's 24 KT yellow gold ring melted down into 4 bars with bales one a little larger than the rest.

So today we put 2 on gold chains for 18 and 13 yo granddaughters. The other 2 are on leather cords for the 2 grandsons, the biggest going to Josh.

Mom is melting down gold for a nugget to go on a chain or cord for the eldest granddaughter, Josh's sister.

You all are awesome! Thank you!

[group hug]

Oh....stove is an electric Samsung 5 burner cooktop with a self cleaning oven. Ordered a white one to go with other appliances and should have it by the middle of March.

The necklaces sound so special, AK! They will be so treasured. I think you meant “bails” though. I was trying to figure out why they were made into bales since your family isn’t into ranching or farming. 😁

I’m just pointing it out so others aren’t confused. Or is it just my brain fog!?

I know I have bronchitis or pneumonia. Hopefully just bronchitis. May have to return to urgent care. Hubby got abx at our doctor’s today.

Thursday-Thanks TuTu about the bails! We are definitely not into farming. How's your hubby doing? Sure hope you guys don't have pneumonia.

Well, I didn't exercise today. Just ran a few errands and did my usual cooking and dishes.

Got a call from my cousin to let me know that my Aunt isn't doing well. She's the Aunt who's husband passed away last year and me and Mom went to the funeral in MO.

She had a TIA and isn't doing well at all.

I didn't mention my Mom.

When it rains it pours!

See you all tomorrow!

Tutu--Hope you made it to the MD and are getting better.

I have been a bit under the weather myself. Stayed home yesterday. Took a Benadryl and slept all day.

Back to work today, but still have some congestion in sinuses and chest. No fever, though.

AK--Sorry to her about your aunt.

Hope lp figures out how to get back on Lymenet soon.

Hey, gang! It's AK's birthday today!! I know she will be out celebrating tonight!

I'm very sorry to hear about your aunt, AK. That's so sad. [Frown]

I did make it to the store today. I was going to attend the meeting tonight. I even drove a few miles to meet my friends and then decided not to go.

When I thought about the fact that I would be gone for 6 hours, I decided I was too tired for that!!!

Hubby and I are still coughing, but we are both on abx and should be OK.

I talked to LP tonight. She is hanging in there. I helped her with her Instant Pot.

Hiker .. I hope you feel better tomorrow. Praying for you to MISS this flu!

Thank you for all the happy birthday wishes gang! Me, Mom and Josh celebrated by going to Carrabba's Italian restaurant and had cake and ice cream at home. I had a wonderful day!

Today I worked in the yard. Pruning, raking and bagging for a couple hours and that was just a small area behind our storage shed. I was slow going and so out of shape!

Glad everyone is doing better!

See everyone tomorrow!

Ak--seems weird to think of doing yard work in January. But it is 50 here but with the usual 40 mph wind gusts that accompany this prairie area before the cold rolls back in.

Had a good day at work. Went grocery shopping afterwards.

I love my Friday night relax time.

Another beautiful day out. Walked 22 minutes.

lp said she was going to chop ice.

Got my DNA results back for my heritage. I am a mutt--English, Irish, Eastern European, and North African.

What is bizarre is lp and I figured out we are both related to Anne Hutchinson who was one of the "witches" put on trial in Massachusetts and banned from the colony.

Did my Saturday morning library visit and then came back and cooked.

Am watching Hallmark movie tonight.

Cool about Anne Hutchison!

It was about 60 degrees today here .. sunny and nice. Loved it. I made it to the store and even went to Dollar General to see if there was anything there for OCC. Nope.

Found some dark cherries at the grocery store. Not as good as cherries from Washington, but I ate them anyway. I enjoyed surviving the ones from last summer.

Did a load of laundry, cooking and dishes for exercise today.

Another good support group meeting followed by church service.

Am so excited.....my BFF from AK is in the lower 48 and will be down in Tampa on Tuesday. So I'm driving down (7 hours) on Friday after a 11:00 ID card appointment at Ft. Benning, GA. Will come back on Monday.

Way to go Hiker on the workout!

Do they have Dollar Trees over there TuTu? Everything is actually $1.00! I love them for gift bags, food items, party supplies, etc.

Nite gang!
