Well I or the hundreds that have contacted/attended our Kentuckiana Lyme support....
Could have written a report on Lyme in KY/IN.
But I sure was happy to see this report and to know they found the ticks here.

Hi Pam ! I am glad to see you saw this!
I hope the study will get the attention it needs. It is really good backup for people trying to get some action from local and state health departments and for legislation.

I know a mother and two sons that went to a early spring Boy Scout camp weekend to Mammoth Cave. They came home covered in nymphs. All have been extremely ill with Lyme & co the last 6 yrs.

That's interesting. I first started feeling really awful after a trip to Kentucky. I did walk in several place with long grass while I was there.

You could very well have picked up a different stain of Lyme or another strain of a co-infections that you hadn't had prior in the New England area.....

Such good news, Pam. I am doing okay myself.
It is amazing, but over the years, in a state where doctors were in denial that Lyme disease even existed, people were more likely to be tested and treated if they had traveled outside the state.
So showing a doc this Kentucky research should make a very strong case for people like HW88, or others who had travelled to KY.

Oh my I just realized our support group had two other folks that found us after going on a wonderful experience at Mammoth Cave camping and hiking.
I got Lymed 30 miles away from there in '99 at another beautiful holiday/vacation area.
Of course we wouldn't want to warn folks about horrible ticks. That could effect tourism. Lives don't matter. grrrrr

Mammoth Cave area is Lyme central,I got lyme and babs there.
If you are at Mammoth cave campground you can hire the ticks to move your fire wood for you there are so many of them in late July.

There used to be army guys hanging around at Mammoth cave visitor center every time i was there.
Probably guarding an underground germ warfare lab..
There are huge electrical cables going down there,way bigger than for lights and the heating elements for the meal down there.
I snuk off when the tour stopped at the restrooms.
I shined a light down steps going down a dark hallway. I heard a heavy metal door slam open I turned out my flashlight and ran back to the bleachers were people were sitting.
I blended in with them ,a man in black came from were I was ,looked us all over I acted innocent.
I did not get caught!!!!
To late now the germ warfare people can kiss my grits.
