I've been to church, been to the store, now it's time to kick back and relax!
LP .. I hope they can fix your shoes correctly. It does take a long time to adjust to them, but it would sure help if they would do it RIGHT!!
Hello to everyone else! I'm off!!

Tutu--Thanks for starting us off.
I raked leaves for 3 hours. 45 and sunny. City is done picking them up, so I had to bag them. My neighbor has a pickup and said he would take them to land waste when he takes his.
I am totally wiped out and I know my shoulder and knee will pay for today, but it felt so good to be in the sunshine. Believe or not I still have more to rake.

Went to grocery to get organic meat on sale.
Did a few PT exercises for my shoulder. Also did a tiny bit of yard work, but too sore to do much.
Wrapped Christmas presents and listened to Christmas music. Very joyful!
Then had a delightful afternoon of reading.

Thanks TuTu for starting this week's thread!
Can't believe I forgot to post yesterday. Worked on my Christmas project and cooked dinner for me, Mom and Josh.
Today I didn't go to the gym because I decided to finish my project. Mission accomplished except for a snap.
I'm surprised you can move Hiker! 3 hours of raking and bagging does me in for a couple of days. Happy to hear you're getting into the Christmas Spirit!
Well...off to bed! Have to take my Mom for a stress test in the a.m. Night all!

Ak--Hope your mom's stress test went well.
Just did odds and ends today.
Guy came to put in my storm doors--finally! So, then I hung my pinecone wreath.
Filled bird feeders.
Went to the library.
Did a few PT exercises for my shoulder.
Went to functional chiropractor. He said my methylation is not functioning properly. Duh! I have been saying that for years. Gave me homeopathic silica to try.
I will say that between he and the energy healer, each health item that has come up they have really helped with. But not detoxing properly has been a problem for me for over 10 years and I think if that issue was solved I would be very healthy!
I am to lower some other supplements slowly and eliminate one. (Of course, I just bought more of the one we are eliminating--lol)
Have a good evening.

Same here, hiker .. I don't detox much of anything these days. Surprisingly, I do not have MTHFR.
Working little by little to clear out boxes. Only have a few left. I need my guy to come check our closet. He was supposed to come on Friday.
The floor guy came today to finish the baseboard strip that did not come in when it was supposed to .. so at least that is now finished
I have several things I need hubby to take out to the garage. It's beginning to look like HOME!
I need to get my Christmas cards done. I am usually finished by now .. but ...
AK .. That purse you made is so cute. Sure makes me want to sew again! I love to sew, but my jewelry work got me side-tracked. The sewing machine was one item we had NO room for in the RV.
It was in storage a LONG time. I used to make all of my own clothes and even some for my mother. I also made my wedding dress and veil.
I'll be watching the finals for the VOICE tonight. I have missed a LOT of it, so I really don't care who wins. Some of the ones I liked are already gone.
Have a great evening, everyone!

No exercise to speak of, just tons of errands. My Mom's stress test took almost 4 hours so finished my Christmas shopping and ran some errands.
Just got home around 10 tonight from visiting friends.
Won't find out the results of the stress test until the 3rd Hiker. Thank God they did an injection to stimulate her heart instead of putting her on a treadmill. Interesting stuff you're doing to regain your health. Keep us in the loop!
Bet you're happy that home is feeling like home again TuTu! I'm impressed with your sewing skills! I'm still a beginner but would love to learn more. I enjoy using creative skills and picking out easy patterns and fabrics. My Mom says I'll inherit her old Singer and serger.
Hope everyone gets a good night's rest!

Walked 30 minutes this afternoon. In the 50's, so took advantage of it.
Realized my shoulder hurts even when I walk because I press down on the trekking poles, so tried to just swing the poles for my balance and not put weight on them.
Visited a friend who had a baby recently. First time I have seen the cute little fellow. She is a teacher who was on my team the last 5 years and still has a few weeks of maternity leave.
What kind of vacuum do you all use? Mine is a canister and very heavy. I have carpet and linoleum (and cement downstairs). Am looking for something light that I can also use on the stairs.
Church tonight.

AK .. that's how they did the stress test on me several years ago. I hope all will be OK with your mom!
LP .. Where are you??
hiker .. Here is the vacuum I got for my new floors. Very lightweight and works great. I have no idea how long it will last, but it should be GREAT for stairs.
My neighbor came over and we got nearly all the pics back up on the walls and cleaned off my table where most of them were waiting.
Got my tiny aluminum tree on the table too. Now to move the empty boxes and stuff to the garage. I still have about 3 boxes to go through.
Found a very WET floor in my CAR!!! It's on the driver's side. Had the same issue on the right when we first bought this car. It was an easy fix.
So... off to the car repair tomorrow and then to PT. (The bad news is that it's supposed to rain tonight)

Got to Josh's at 6:45 this morning. He bought me a steak and egg biscuit so we ate breakfast together before he went to work. Afterwards I spent the day dusting, polishing, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping and wiping down cabinets and appliances.
I worked hard until 3:30 stopping for about 30 minutes for lunch.
His house is spic and span ready for his Dad and sister coming up from FL on Saturday.
So that's my exercise for the day. Whew!
I use an upright Oreck vacuum that came with a smaller hand held unit. They're both light weight but you have to buy bags. The upright is in the shed right now but I use the hand held one quite a bit.
What a time to have car trouble TuTu! Hope it's a quick fix. Nice to have wonderful neighbors!
Well....I'm paying for overdoing it today! Had to resort to half a pain pill! Yuck!
Night all!

Ak--What a kind aunt you are to clean for Josh! I am sure he will return the favor by helping you clean up your ex's mess, right?
Did 2 sets of my PT shoulder exercises. Am praying that this really is tendonitis and am doing the proper exercises. Had it in left shoulder 4 years ago, but having pain in the right shoulder now.
Went to the grocery store. Got home and noticed my Dad had emailed me to get some things for Mom for when I go there, so back to the grocery store, I went.
I am not going to fight the weekend crowds at the store before Christmas and needed to go today for myself.
Did some cooking while swaying to Christmas music. The church service last night--a candlelight service--really got me in the mood for Christmas.

Just some errands today and no exercise.
My AK BFF called me today to let me know they're coming on Sunday, the same day me, Mom, Josh and his Dad and sister are getting together for dinner.
So looks like it's going to be a party! My Mom sure is happy to have company. She wants to use her good china and silverware. LOL!
Sure hope your shoulder gets better Hiker. I don't know if Josh will help me where my ex is concerned. He doesn't even want to see him, he's that angry. One of my friends said she would so I'm going to take her up on that.
I'm still sore today but feeling that same Christmas Spirit!

Well, that makes sense, hiker. I was just thinking that you needed to up any anti-inflammatories that you are able to take.
AK.. I hope you can get your former home fixed up and sold very soon. I would be mad too!
We took our car in early this morning. They called and said the leak is in the windshield. So they are taking it to a glass place. They are hoping it can be re-sealed. If not, then we get a new windshield for Christmas.
I am very grateful this did not happen while we were in Texas. We are leaving Jan 2. This car would have stayed at home and it's possible that it could have rained and I would have had one big moldy car.
Even if it didn't rain, it would have been moldy had I not found out the floorboard was wet.
Went to PT this afternoon. Then off to buy a few gifts for my masto friend and her daughter. Not sure when I will see them. She is sick with the stomach virus right now.
My neighbor came over again and we got all of the boxes into the garage and other stuff moved out too. Hubby was busy working on his music for the New Year's Eve show.
So .. the living room is 95% done!! Just have a few things to get rid of and thrown out. Then clean off the bar. It's collecting papers again. Papers are the bane of my existence.
Looks like we will have good weather for our Christmas Eve service. Now hoping to escape ice on New Year's.

lp--hope you were able to make it to PT today.
Did my shoulder PT exercises twice today, so about 50 minutes of time, but certainly not cardio. Lp--Don't know how you deal with shoulder pain.
I can't take anti-inflammatories due to recent stomach issues, so am using Aspercreme on the shoulder. Seems to help a bit.
I sleep on the injured shoulder because I get vertigo if I sleep on my left side. That doesn't help. But I know it will get better.
Went to dentist. Still watching 2 back molars which I bet end up needing to be filled at my next appointment. Hygienist says I am easy to clean, though.
Also went to chiropractor today.
Happy Winter as of 30 minutes ago!!

I didn’t get to Pt. There were flood and high wind warnings and the toad there is bad.
I woke up slow. That is always a better for me. Then went out for pedicures. The foot doc cut my nails a month ago but they were painful and the woman that did them today said it was growing in. But she fixed it. This shop changed products and I didn’t smell anything. Didn’t need to use my mask. It’s a little farther away but I’m switching!
I need to get back to dentist but I want to switch dentists. I got spoiled growing up with really good dentist. This place just wants to make money and there’s so much flirting going on. I guess I’m just an old grouch.
My shoulder is the worst physical problem I have. I let it hang and don’t use it. My other arm is so strong cuz it works twice as hard. I can’t sleep on either side. Both hurt the shoulder. At one point I could prop the shoulder so it wouldn’t hurt but that doesn’t work. If I run out or forget to take my supps I feel much worse. I think the ones that help with inflammation are: fish oil cosamin ds curcumin and resverstrol
I tried to make a photo book for each grandchild but I couldn’t figure out how. Google photo books are very cheap compared to the others
But

Looks like I won't be hitting the gym until after Christmas because I'm super busy!
Washed all the china, silverware and crystal glasses for the table. Did 2 loads of laundry and did some more grocery shopping.
Picked up some gluten free chocolate cookie mix for my friend at a different store.
Also I went to church tonight for the Christmas program to hear my brother play and participated in communion.
That doesn't sound like a fun Christmas present TuTu! Me and Mom are travelling on the 2nd also. Heading up to ATL for her gastro appointment. She has a colostomy bag and sees her doc at least once a year.
I'm in the same boat with shoulder issues Kayak. I overuse the heck out of my good arm. I have to prop up my arm at night too.
Hey Hiker you might want to try propping up your arm. I sleep mainly on my stomach with my bad arm overhead. Propping up my forearm helps.
Anyways....off to look up pot roast with vegetables recipes online.

My solution to the painful shoulders is to sleep on my back. I've been doing that for nearly 20 years.
They got our windshield fixed but the floor was still wet. They said they blew fans on it all night, but they must not have tried to soak up the moisture first.
I was not happy, but it was Friday afternoon and I knew I would get nowhere to get them to do more.
I ran the car with the heater on high two times this evening. I just sat in the car with the fan blowing on the floor only and opened the windows so I wouldn't be so hot!
I'll probably do that again tomorrow. They re-sealed the windshield. I sure hope it works.
I also got my haircut today, so I'm ready to head south soon!!
Still figuring out what we will do for Christmas. We usually eat out, but I'm just not excited about doing that this year. Christmas has fewer options than Thanksgiving does.
There are places open but they are very busy and we don't like crowds. I may go get some dressing for hubby (on Christmas Eve) and whatever else looks good.
Then fix steaks on Christmas Day and a cream cheese cherry pie that we have not had in years. I bought the ingredients a few weeks ago. Not sure how badly I will react, but I think I can survive the storm. lol
Sounds like you've had plenty of exercise, AK!
Happy winter, hiker!

Up early to shop at the pricey market for my Christmas eve desserts of mini red velvet cheesecakes, cannoli and almond cookies.
My AK friend called and said they can only stop long enough for a quick lunch before travelling further south to Tampa.
Disappointed but glad they're still going out of the way to visit. So I packed up the GF chocolate Christmas cookies in a tin and along with the GF rolls as a gift.
What is it with mechanics TuTu! I took my car in and they adjusted my brakes. Well now the emergency brake doesn't work. Steak sounds great for Christmas!
Are you heading to your parents for Christmas Hiker? I downloaded an ebook the other day. I'm to lazy to even go to the library.
Chat with you all soon!
