Let's get this party started!!!

[woohoo]

Chores, driving, walking, running, swimming, crafts, etc. You name it, anything counts as exercise on this thread!

What can you do today?

Ak--Thanks for getting the party started!

Did a 25 minute prayer walk and 2 rounds of shoulder stretches.

Watched 2 Hallmark movies last night. Have 3 Christmas ones still recorded. Not sure if I will get to them or not.

Went to library this afternoon and along with books, I checked out 2 movies--Ocean's 8 and also Christopher Robin. They are only $1 to rent for a week.

Getting ready to watch Bears-Vikings game.

Have a great week! [Cool]

Good job, Hiker!

I'm being domestic again today. Made a pie and did grocery shopping. Needed to get out for something this evening, but hubby has our one car at rehearsal.

He left at 3 and I probably won't see him until midnight.

Monday night's show is 3 hours long so they have a lot to rehearse. They added 4 other acts into their show .. so it's not easy.

Church was nice today. We didn't eat out because we had brunch at church. I didn't eat anything though. They never fix anything I can eat, but I just "move on."

My next door neighbor from my childhood is in town. We hope to get together .. but our time is short!

I emailed him back so I'm waiting to see when we could find the time. I'm hoping he will come to the show but it is rather pricey. He has the money but it may not appeal to him. I know his wife too. Nice couple.

I have PT at 7:45 in the morning .. yikes!! I guess I'll have to just roll out of bed and head over there. It takes me an hour to get to breakfast because of my med regimen .. so that's not going to work.

I'll go without eating.

Rained all day here.

Did shoulder stretches.

Took down my Christmas decorations while I listened to Christmas music one more time.

Watched Ocean's Eight DVD. Not that great.

I will probably will be in bed long before midnight tonight, but for those of you who stay up until then, party on.

Went to the show tonight and it was super duper. Lots of fun. Such a wide variety of acts and performers. Quite awesome and we had lots of laughs too!

Got home about 1 I guess. Now I'm washing my coat so it will be clean for the trip. I probably won't need it in Texas very much, but that's OK! I will take my short sleeve shirts too!

Going to meet my childhood friend tomorrow. We are meeting them for lunch at 1 pm. I plan to have an omelet!

Then I'll be home packing!

OH.. and picked up my car today. It's all dried out and he shampooed all of the front and vacuumed the entire inside. Now I just pray the leak is fixed.

PS ... I graduated from Phys Therapy!

HAPPY NEW YEAR! MAY IT BE A GREAT ONE!

Tutu--Glad the show went well. I had eggs and bacon for lunch!

What happened, Tutu, to your dancing icon at the bottom of your posts?

A bit icy here today. All the rain from yesterday froze on the pavement, so after rescuing my garbage can I did not venture back out.

Did my shoulder stretches. I think they are helping.

Otherwise it has been a lazy day of reading, watching the Rose Bowl parade and now I will watch the Rose Bowl itself.

Safe travels, Tutu.

Happy New Year! [Smile]

Happy New Year everyone! Watched part of the Rose Parade then lunch with the whole family at the Chinese buffet.

Have to wake up at 4:45 a.m. to take Mom to Emory in Atlanta for her gastroenterologist appointment.

I'm real worried about my Mom. She's been sleeping more and has terrible fatigue. Some days she spends on the couch.

Missed the Georgia game tonight. Spent time with Josh and Mom instead.

Off to read myself to sleep.

I guess it’s the 2 nd But I’m pretending it’s still the 1st. I shoveled slush for hour and 15 min today. It’s all ice now but hope sun will take care of it tomorrow. We get snow storm all day thurs when I’m supposed to go to Pt

Yesterday I walked Etta a lot at beach

I’m very sore from Pt I guess but my neck and now all the way up to my scalp are tight and painful. Hope it sorts itself out soon.

Well. I think I can sleep now

Ak--Hope your mom's appointment went well. Sorry she is not well. I totally understand how hard it is to see parents age and decline.

LP-Slush shoveling is hard work. Not sure I could do it with my shoulder.

Walked 27 minutes this morning and did 2 rounds of shoulder stretching (Takes 10-15 minutes each time).

Went to recycling. Freezing drizzle here now, so I am home for the rest of the day.

Watched the movie Christopher Robin. Very good.

Hiker I mostly use my good arm. I can use bad one to steady shovel if my hand is at waist level or lower

The sun did not work today even tho it was very bright. Thicknglaze of ice still on drive. I chopped enough to get trash out to road. I salted back patio in case propane guy comes. Not much sun there at all.

I cut up some cardboard and got both trash and recyclables out to yard. Also taped the second carport window.

Inside I moved a few small pieces of furniture did laundry and took a 2 hr detox bath. It fixed my head pain for 4 hrs but I feel it coming back now

I felt better today. Didn’t have to sleep so much

Oh! And the bank sent 2 checks to pay off credit cards and the credit card robot destroyed one of the checks so I was on phone over an hour fixing that but I’m really glad I caught it. It will take 10 days to fix it

Light snow tonight and in morning. I tried to change Pt appt but couldn’t. I only have one this week. Hope I get there

How is your mom a k. I’m surprised she’s not well she looked so good in Christmas pics

So tutu must be on her way to Texas right? Stay warm everyone. Brrrrrrr.

Whew I'm wiped out! Mom had an unexpected procedure so got home not to long ago. A.M. appointment was at 9:15 and procedure squeezed in at 1:30 and didn't leave the hospital until 5:00.

Had to drive home in rain and Atlanta rush hour.

She had a sigflex done of what's left of her 6-8 inches of lower colon. Dr said to much scar tissue and caused my poor Mom pain and bleeding and feels it's no longer necessary. Thank God!

They check for cancer and said my Mom wouldn't be able to recover from the surgery and to concentrate on her liver problems.

Thanks guys for thinking of my Mom. I'm trying to take good care of her so she does have good and happy days. Her cirrhosis is progressing though and is slowing her down. Today I had to use the hospital wheelchair for the first time to get her to her various appointments at the hospital. She was too weak to do all the walking.

God blessed us both with strength, love and travel mercies.

She has a cardiologist follow-up tomorrow for her stress test last week so another busy day tomorrow. At least he's local!

Thank you guys for all the support!

[group hug]

Ak--Sorry your mom is having such a rough time. Glad you got home safely and hope today's appointment went well.

Walked 24 minutes but my legs felt like lead again.

Did one round of stretching for shoulder.

Am bug eyed after spending several hours on the computer working on my family tree at Ancestry.com Lots of fun and learning a lot.

Family tree investigating sounds fun Hiker! My Mom's cardio appt went well and she doesn't have to return for 9 months.

Lots of errands today but finished up around five and have been reading in bed. What luxury!

No exercise but bought apples, celery, carrots and beets for some more juice fasting. Gained 5 pounds since Thanksgiving and only have until the 3rd week in March to drop 35 pounds or my GP will put me on statins.

I'm going to have to switch up my exercise to something more gentle while fasting. So might do deep breathing, pelvic floor exercises and isometrics at home for awhile.

That's the plan and hope I can stick with it.

See everyone tomorrow!

You are a good daughter AK. Sorry it is so hard.

And hikers a good daughter too!

I did what I could for my mom til I started treating Lyme. Then I was too sick and she went to my brothers.

Today I woke up to about 3 inches fluffy snow. The little snow blower I bought was worthless on it. I hoped it would at least work on the fluffy stuff but it didn’t. Unless it’s me. I hope I can sell the thing for half price

I used monster push shovel and regular shovel to clear most of drive. It was hard where it was frozen underneath. I also got trash out and empty barracks back in. And cleaned up carport some and continued to put things back where they belong.

I napped a lot too. Has tutu been in touch with anyone?

AK--You can still say "NO" to statins even if you don't lose all 35 pounds. Hope your fasting and exercise plan works and makes you feel better.

Lp--I suspect Tutu won't have much contact while on vacation. I think she really needs this time with her family, so I know I won't contact her.

Walked 23 minutes and did 2 rounds of shoulder stretches.

Went grocery shopping. Went back when I noticed they overcharged me on an item. Glad I am just a few blocks away.

Am off to chiropractor now.

Hi gang! Woke up pretty early, showered and did 2 loads of laundry and put a few boxes of Christmas things away in the shed.

Fasting has been tough because I sure overate during the holidays!

Been on the phone most of the day with mortgage company and the 3 main credit bureaus trying to work out the joint mortgage issue and my dwindling credit score due to my ex's nonpayment of debt.

Paid $300 today to Consumer Information Bureau who is supposed to help me with all 3 credit bureau reports and to have the joint accounts, that I'm not responsible for, taken off my reports.

What a mess!

Does stress count as exercise?

Hate to hear that you're having to shovel snow Kayak! I don't know how you manage with your bad shoulder. Take care of yourself.

Envy that walk Hiker! My exercise is going to slow way, way down until the fasting isn't so bad. I'm juicing and drinking broths and teas but it's still hard.

Sure hope TuTu is having a wonderful time.

Anyways, hope everyone has a great evening!

[hi]

AK I mostly push the snow. The warm winter helps a lot. Sun and rain get rid of it. I just have to be sure I clear a space to road before a quick freeze or it’s an ice skating rink. And I can’t get trash out

I’m herxing a lot I guess cuz I’m putting meds up as called for in protocol I am doing. I feel like early Lyme is back. Very struggling neck. All the way up to head and down to scapula area

I pushed hard yesterday to do errands cuz today is freezing rain. I bought toaster cuz mine broke but it was broken when I opened box so will have to exchange when roads clear up

I sent two big boxes back I had to be creative with packing them up. But they are gone. Improvements.com was having a 70% off sale so I bought some cushions and storage furniture. House is almost back together since project las may but I had odds and ends that needed a place to live. The stuff looked really nice but half of it was broken. I think the half I kept will be helpful once it off gasses and I get it set up

I did other odds and ends. Cleaning up after Christmas. Today it’s bills and taxes. I guess I might not itemize med expenses. My accountant said it won’t help unless I have over 8000. K in expenses. I don’t think I do. But I’m not sure if that includes regular deductions like mortgage interest

That will be incredible to not have to do med expenses. I won’t have anything to complain about for next 4 months!

Once I am caught up with the must do stuff I have some projects I hope to get to this winter. One is ancestry and one is photos.

I’ve watched the new Netflix show ‘tidying up’ a few times. It’s more motivating and less disgusting than hoarders! I’m getting some ideas

Hope tutu has fun and good weather. Talk soon

Walked 22 minutes and did one round of shoulder stretches.

Shoulder hurts even more today, so I think Monday I will call several orthopedists and see if I can get in soon. Bet it is a long wait, though.

So, I spent a lot of time today contacting others who have had shoulder problems to narrow down the MDs. My neighbor is a retired nurse who used to be head nurse of surgery at the hospital and her names matched up with others.

Ak--Sorry you have so much stress. Maybe the stress will burn extra Calories.

Lp--Sad how you can't buy things without them arriving broken.

Wanted to make gluten free cookies, but shoulder won't let me stir the batter, so am going to read instead.

All I did today was juicing and picking up a bit of trash in the yard. Got a bit dizzy so been just staying in the bed.

Have to check out that website Kayak. I've saved a book on my Amazon wish list about decluttering. I like to be organized and look for ideas to help.

Way to go on the 22 Hiker! Speaking of shoulders, mine always hurts especially at night but feels much better since fasting. I must have a lot of inflammation going on.

Anyways...off to look online for gentle exercises.
