Come one, come all and report your exercise---walking, gardening, dancing, cleaning house etc.

Or just pop in and say hello! [Smile]

Did not sleep well until about 5 A.M. Then slept until after 9 and missed church.

Did my OT exercises. Did my PT exercises once and then went for a 20 minute walk. Chilly and breezy but the sun is shining. [Cool]

Have a great week!

It was cold here too. We took off for our indoor church picnic this morning and had frost on the windshield but budding trees out there.

Even colder tonight, but will warm up later this week. Should be nice.

Hiker .. I sure hope you SLEEP tonight!!!

I may be able to finish our taxes before the 15th. Shock!

Need to get my license tags for new car this week. I'm waiting for the end of the month and early part of month rush! Hate long lines at the DMV.

It's usually not THAT bad here, though. I'm just a wus.

Thanks for getting us going this week Hiker! Are you sleeping in your new recliner? Sometimes I listen to 432 hz frequency soothing and healing sounds on YouTube. Hope you get some sleep!

I dread the DMV TuTu. Really not to awful here so far. Thank goodness I can renew online! Whew!

Well off to catch up on some news.

Crazy night here. First there was a car chase on our street. Car went over neighbor's lawn and left deep ruts.

Fell asleep quickly. Still in my own bed. Woke up to get a drink of water and realized power was off.

Called power company at 2 AM and they came out. Did a lot of digging in the back for a broken line that needed to be replaced. Done by 6, but I didn't get much sleep with that going on.

My backyard neighbor called to say a van had been dumped in a neighbor's drive. Apparently the guy who dumped the van is wanted by the police. I wonder if it is the car that was chased earlier.

Sadly, the owner of the house has to pay to have this van towed out of his driveway. Ridiculous. I supposedly live in a safe neighborhood. [Eek!]

Did one round of PT exercises and my OT exercises.

Ran some errands.

Pulled all the utility flags from the yard and cut the dead leaves of Lenten Rose. Filled bird feeders...again.

See surgeon tomorrow.

Me and my Mom ran errands today and ate lunch at Boston Market. No real exercise today but thinking about tackling the yard soon.

Hiker that is so scary about the police chasing someone in your neighborhood! Keep us in the loop in regards to your surgery!

See you all tomorrow!

Wow, Hiker!

Well, I went to the city to help my masto friend’s boyfriend pick out an engagement ring!! It was awesome!

It’s too much to explain the whole story but we ended up in a new store that had not opened up but the door was open.

They were working on it and the owner was there. We got an wedding set half off!! Since his budget was conservative it turned out perfectly! He may give her the ring Thursday.

Or he may get real excited and do it before then. 🤣

Your post just put a big smile on my face TuTu! That must have been very exciting!

Me and Mom are heading to the Coca Cola Space Science Center for the final Under the Dome music and art performance in their planetarium. Supposed to be a two part performance at 2 locations.

Hope everyone has a fantastic day!

Shoulder surgery is scheduled for next Wednesday.

Then I start PT again two days later. Argh.

I do not qualify for any insurance covered home care. Not sure how I am supposed to cook or take a shower by myself.

Went to OT and we spent time working on how to put on a shirt one handed. Turns out I need to get bigger shirts and need to buy a big zip sweatshirt. Back to thrift shop tomorrow.

Stopped by Center for Independent Living to get a toilet riser in case I needed it. They loan medical items for free. Gave me a list of personal assistants some of whom are CNA's if I need to call someone and get help for a few hours a week. Not covered by insurance, though.

Off to think about dinner.

It was fun!! We came out of there and I told him that NO WHERE else in town would he have gotten a wedding set HALF OFF!

We were both excited and had to cool our heels after that! LOL

(Did I tell you guys that he's from Kenya? I told the owner that his first customer came all the way from Kenya!)

Hiker .. UGH!!!! Yikes! I know you will be prepared and well-organized. It stinks that you can't get insurance help for stuff like this!

I called my GP today and asked for a referral to an orthopedist. I am not comfortable with how this is going.

I'm afraid I will get a steroid shot .. ugh!! But mainly I want him to do another MRI and see if it's OK .. (ha, not!) .. and of course a REAL exam to see how my hip performs.

He should know more just by the exam.

(Also.. I received the collagen and glucosamine that my GP wanted me to get. I had not noticed that the collagen contains Vit C. I CANNOT do Vit C. So I'm hoping to send it back. I broke the seal but checked ingredients again before taking the big seal off the bottle. Have no idea how I missed it on the internet when ordering.)

I made the trip to my dentist in the next state for a crown that was chipped. He thinks it's OK for now. He said it's cosmetic and to run it like an old tire for now.

Me and my Mom had a wonderful time at the finale for the Under the Dome series of concert and visual arts at the planetarium performed by local university students.

Hiker I can't believe your surgery is Wednesday! Outpatient? Someone is taking you and either staying with you or checking every day right? I'd stock up on frozen tv dinners and anything microwavable such as breakfast items, etc. Yogurts, puddings etc. that you can open with your teeth and one hand. I'm gonna give you a buzz.

TuTu run that crown until the wheels fall off! LOL! I don't care for steroid shots either. I had so many in AK that it made me bleed a bit from my kidneys. But that was like 4 shots in a week and a half. Sure hope they can find what's causing your hip pain.

Eeekk! It's after 2:00 a.m.! Time for bed. Night all!

[sleepy]

Ak--Your outing with your mom sounds fun. I may buzz you on Thursday!

Tutu--Let us know when you see the orthopedist.

Went back to thrift shop to get a few more big shirts. OT said the ones I had weren't big enough.

Surgery will be outpatient. My friend, Debbie, from church will take me to surgery. My BFF will come over after work and stay that first night and I suspect check in every day.

Went to local organic shop and got some goat milk and goat yogurt. I don't handle regular milk well due to the amount of casein. Goat dairy is supposed to have less. And is good to take meds if you have a sensitive tummy like I do.

Ordered some nondairy protein shakes online so I can get my calorie intake up. Will do a bit of cooking ahead of time.

I did order prepared microwaveable meals to be delivered from an online site, but that won't start until a week after surgery. I didn't get onto it in time. I suspect church friends will cook for me, too.

I was told to bring my PT schedule to church tonight and pass it around for people to sign up to give me rides.

Went to library. Discovered they will deliver books during the time I cannot drive. I love our public library.

Bought some thistle for bird feeder and cleaned out one bird feeder. I have 4 feeders I use regularly--two for finches and two for other birds. I should probably get out my 5th feeder for hummingbirds.

Last night I put in the lace lock (no tie) shoe laces into my shoes. Think I got them too tight, because I had trouble getting my shoes on with 2 hands today. LOL Will wear sandals or mocs at home, I think.

Still not sleeping well. Tried to doze this afternoon but was unsuccessful.

Off to read and then head to church.

Finally went to PT for my neck and back injuries from the car accident. Neck, back and SI all locked up on the right side. Love my therapist! He got me all unstuck and have my easy stretches to do at home. Also worked with another therapist who instructed me on how to sit, drive, do housework, etc.

On the road to recovery, yay!

Hiker I have some early morning errands but should be home after noon. I'm so relieved that you have people in place to help you. The food delivery that you have set up sounds perfect! Hope you get some rest!

See everyone tomorrow!

Wow, hiker. That all sounds very good. I knew you would have it all organized. So happy that your friends will be taking care of you!

AK .. I'm very happy that you are going to PT now!! Being locked up is not good!!

I'm off to the show in a bit. Gotta call my friend about OCC tomorrow. We have a meeting out of town.

I went to Bible study today. We had it in a different condo so I wouldn't have to walk upstairs.

See ya .. have a great evening! [hi]

Pretty lazy day. Rainy here.

I did make some meatloaf to freeze for after surgery.

Had a good chat with AK about shoulders etc.

Have a book due at the library tomorrow and I don't think I am going to get it finished. Will have to put it on hold again.

Energy healer said she didn't see any candida overgrowth or harmful bacteria in digestive system Hurrah. Still a bit acidic and irritated but that is progress.

Just doing my therapy and grocery shopping today. Me and my Mom browsed awhile at an indoor flea market. Afterwards I met with my real estate agent. The closing of the trailer and acreage is set for Friday the 12th. Just waiting for the payoff amount from the finance company that's handling the VA loan.

Hope there isn't any glitches.

Sure enjoyed our afternoon chat Hiker!

Getting started on OCC for this year TuTu? How'd your friend's 'bowling' turn out today?

Plan on going downtown tomorrow for an Art walk to different galleries. All free and they provide buses for those of us that can't walk to far. Also there's an outdoor concert at 7 so I might hang out and grab a slice of pizza and listen to some music.

See everyone tomorrow!

No sleep again last night. Totally exhausted. Not sure why I can't sleep on my back at all.

Figured by the time I am out of the sling, it will be time for summer clothes, so I swapped out my winter gear for shorts and t-shirts.

Washed my sheets and remade bed.

Went grocery shopping. Even found some "dry shampoo" that you spray on your hair and comb it through to make it look somewhat washed.

Grilled some porkchops and cut them up and put in freezer.

Off to try and doze a bit.

AK--Art walk sounds great!

AK .. The "bowling" went great! She was pretty sure she was getting a ring that evening so she was anxious all evening. He finally gave her the ring about 8 pm.

He and his friend from Kenya had never been bowling, so they were having fun!

Sure hope the sale goes through smoothly, AK!!

Hiker .. Sure wish you could catch some ZZZZ's .. [sleepy] Sounds like you are ready.

I just got an appointment with an ortho for Apr 19th. The more I read, the more I think they will NOT do surgery. We will see.

Seems a bit better since beginning the glucosamine.

Tutu--Praying no surgery.

Took Benadryl last night and slept well. It dries me out so much I can't do it often.

Drove over to my folks today. Trying to help mom with some financial stuff, but she refuses to listen.

Will go back home after dinner. Am not telling my folks that surgery is soon. Will tell them after it is over.

I borrowed a toilet riser from The Center for Independent living. Sadly it smells horribly of urine and I think I will take it back. Feel awkward asking to exchange it, so may just live without it after surgery. Don't want to spend more money to buy a new one.

Oh gag, hiker! That does sound terrible about the riser.

If you are tempted to get one, it might be cheaper to just get a new toilet. I just got one about 2 months ago and it was not that expensive.

It's actually a tad too tall for me .. but oh well!

Not exercise for us exactly, unless stress is exercise...!!

Our one goat had triplets tonight! She got the exercise!

3 little girls.... my daughter is so tickled with all girls.

She decided she had better get the kid pen ready tonight - by the time she was finished with the pen, mama goat was ready to have babies!

Had a wonderful time last night. Only had a chance to go to one gallery. The concert was a tribute to Billy Joel and they sounded great!

Today I was super busy straightening up the house and making a family dinner. My brother and his family came over so there was 8 of us all together.

I halved Cornish hens and marinated them in olive oil, rosemary, thyme, garlic, salt and pepper and lemon juice with the zest.

Josh and I grilled those and my Mom made roasted green beans and red potatoes. Also had yeast rolls. Oh, and ice cream sundaes for dessert.

TuTu your not talking about hip surgery, are you? Hope the glucosamine helps alot! Happy to hear everything went so well for your friend. Yay for love! Made me smile about the guys never bowling.

Hiker thank goodness you finally got some rest! So no luck with your Mom? Hopefully that will change soon. Glad you didn't tell your parents about the surgery. They would be super worried.

Manna how exciting to have more 4 legged family members! I bet the babies are adorable! The folks that tried to buy my trailer and property had goats and chickens.

See you guys tomorrow!
