I just found out this morning I had a cerebellar stroke during the past few years and never knew it, in addition to a brain lesion. I feel stupid that I just deal with whatever my body goes through.

I also found out this evening that my husband has been cheating on me. He even had the audacity to introduce her to his niece whom I'm close too.

I called her because my husband thought I was making up the stroke & she studies medicine. When I read her the diagnosis shes said my husband is stupid and doesn't know what he is talking about.

I just had relied on my husband for a help getting to doctors, making appts, getting food, sorting & managing my meds, We've been separated for years.

The silver lining is I now have enough evidence to start OT, PT & cognitive therapy which I have needed for more than 6 years and been fighting with the insurance.

The only people I have are my kids who are 24 & 29 they each have disabilities. Thye are really incapable of comforting me & dealing with these issues as they have seen how my husband treats me & don't know any different.

I put in an email for a therapist so hopefully I can get in soon. It's just so hard to keep fighting knowing how hard it is to face rehab therapy without support.

I can't thank you enough for your prayers and this site. It has kept me from having a major breakdown many times. I hope & pray I can find the strength to face life on my own.

I have finally ended my marriage & pray he can finally accept it. I hope &pray this finally cuts out most of the negitivity in my life. I have no idea how I will make my life work with out him.

I have no where to turn for support other than here as I have no one other than my kids.

Thank you again for your response. It was very meanful to me!!

It's all hard, but I'd say focus on the silver lining - you say you can start OT, PT and cognitive therapy.

Usually the people we do our therapies with are fairly good people, so I suggest going ahead and seeing if you can make some good connections with them, and start adding people to your life who you connect with.
