Those from New Jersey may be aware of this, but there is a political blog for New Jersey. Pallone is an occasional guest. Thought locals might want to know about this.... it is Blue Jerseydotcom.
You have to sign up and get an account to post a comment, but there doesn't seem to be a fee involved. There is a 24 hour wait after you join before you can post. FYI.....

There are 3 Republicans running against him this cycle.
Also, from his campaign website (these are his campaign promises!):
The domestic issue of greatest concern to me is the state of our nation's health care system. It is inequitable, under funded and, in many ways, just plain broken.
Now, with Democrats in control of both the House and the Senate, we have the opportunity to embark on real change and protect the health of our population, a goal always high on our party's platform. Unlike Republicans, we will not sit back and permit 47 million people to go without health insurance.
As chairman of the House Health Subcommittee, I am leading the effort to expand children's health insurance. My Children's Health and Medicare Protection (CHAMP) Act passed the House on August 1. It will allow New Jersey to continue to provide health care coverage to over 126,000 low-income children, and 80,000 parents, all currently enrolled in NJ FamilyCare.
Furthermore, it will provide new funding to reach out to the 101,000 New Jersey children who are currently uninsured, but who are eligible for NJ FamilyCare or Medicaid.
We will not let President Bush and his allies in Congress throw roadblocks in our path toward insuring our nation's children and protecting the elderly, while having few qualms about waging a war overseas with a far higher price tag.
