Just got an email from www.healthfreedomusa.org saying supplements are under attack again!
John McCain is about to introduce a bill to severely restrict our access to supplements. Given how many of us here need them, to say nothing of everyone else, this news need to get out and the public needs to speak up now.
His bill is called The Dietary Supplement Safety Act of 2010 (DSSA).
However, it will end our access to high potency vitamins, minerals and other dietary supplements.
It is not to be confused with the law we already have that protects our access to dietary supplements. That 1994 law is the Dietary Supplements health and Education Act (DSHEA).
That law protects us from CODEX, the international law that is stripping countries of their access to supplements.
We are being asked to flood our reps with emails. One click on a petition and it will go to our Senate rep, White House, HHS Sec'y Sebelius and Senate HELP committee where the last bill they tried like this one is stuck, thx to major email protect in Nov 09.
Please take action on this and pass the word along. Thank you, mouse warriors (how healthfreedom usually signs off!)

My goodness!!!!
This crap seems to be happening all around the world. I recently read that it is now illegal to sale colloidal silver as a supplement in Europe.

It has been going on for several years now.
I suspect it will, if implemented, affect availability and price of all things used in natural products.
They are especially targeting the ones we think can do us the most good, because I feel they want to control even further our abilities to help
ourselves get better even when they cannot come up with tests for all the critters and then denied treatment for over 4 weeks, It really looks bad.

Hi all - another email today from healthfreedomusa today - Sen McCain did introduce Senate bill S3002 on Feb 4, which will essentially put the US in the same position that Europe is now in -
Europeans have lost the right to have access to vitamins, minerals and herbs, they've lost their access to colloidal and nano silver, which are great anti-infection fighters.
And what is now allowed is very low doses of anything. And lots of drugs.
Americans' email protests in Nov 09 worked against an earlier Senate bill, S510, now stalled in committee.
The same email protest needs to happen now against this new bill. For our collective future health. Period.
Please spread the news of this action url far and wide, to your social networks, facebook, myspace, twitter, wherever you're in touch with folks, to ask everyone to send email protests against this dangerous bill -
If you all do this, I'll put TC in charge of sending you all some ice cream...

Hi all - this issue is still very much on the table - and I don't mean TC's ice cream -
www.healthfreedomusa.org is reporting that 2.2 million have signed the petition against us losing access to our supplements - this affects everyone of us who takes supplements - the two introduced bills would take away our access -
go to the url mentioned above and sign the petition in opposition to S3002 and S510 that goes to your senators, white house, HHS sec'y Sebelius and Senate HELP committee,
then spread the word about this url petition signing to other sites as well - thank you, everyone, for your simple effort here on behalf of all of us!

BigPharma must be in love with this bill.
Much of the world is already affected by this. Our government in cahoots with BigPharma, God bless their souls, are "protecting" us.

Massman, do you know how to get out the word to some of the wholistic health medical world, including chiros?

quote: McCain Withdraws Support For Dietary Supplement Safety Act
A Senate staffer confirmed that Sen. John McCain no longer supports a bill he introduced to significantly tighten regulatory requirements for dietary supplements.
McCain offered the Dietary Supplement Safety Act of 2010, S. 3002, in February. The Arizona Republican will now collaborate with Sen. Orrin Hatch, R-Utah, on revised legislation that allegedly provides for transparency and safety within the supplement industry but without the intensive regulatory intervention proposed in S. 3002. No timeline is set for introduction of a new bill.
Hatch thanks McCain for withdrawing his support of the original legislation in a March 4 letter.

Next we will be watching to make sure that Sen Harkin's food fascism bill S510 doesn't get out of committee and passed with an amendment adding the anti-supplements language of Sen McCain's withdrawn S3002,
which, btw, was withdrawn because we protested by the millions. This is what healthfreedomusa calls a pushback. Speaking up works!
Zillions of sundaes for all if no bad bills pass!
